The project involves verification of the Client data, performing due diligence checks on the Clients, reviewing KYC documentation performing the risk assessment of the Client, liaising with the Business/Compliance, advising on KYC requirements and signing off on new client adoptions.The Reg & Tax analyst role is an operations function where you will be involved in reviewing various regulatory documents related to clients to ensure that all the regulatory requirements are met and the bank is in compliance.

Your key responsibilities:

Responsible for verification of Client data:

- Perform due diligence of new and existing clients covering a wide range of different client types including; Listed and Regulated, small/medium/ large private and public companies as well as more complex structures such as; SPVs, Co-operatives, Foundations and Funds, Governments, Joint Ventures, etc.

- Verifying KYC documentation of the Clients to be adopted/reviewed

-Perform the risk assessment of the Client to be adopted/reviewed

- Signing off on new client adoptions and periodic reviews

- Manage New Client Adoption or Periodic Review stream, to ensure that all requests are approved in accordance with regulatory requirements and the bank's internal policies

- Manage exception ensuring that all SLA's defined with the Business on timeliness and quality are adhered

Your skills and experience:

- 10-12 years of professional experience in Risk Management, preferably in KYC or AML function.

- Identifying & mitigating Risk within the process. Facing off various Internal & External Audits.

- Advise, challenges, informs the line teams on recommended ways to mitigate risk; reviews actions items to ensure that risk is being sufficiently addressed

- Acts as a culture carrier by embedding in the team or region; propagates a risk mind-set and awareness of Operational Risk amongst staff

- Identifies ways to share risk best practice across teams and functions, and with other business lines where like processes exist/there is exposure to similar risk

- Expertise in Monitoring Control, Risk Analysis & Reporting as well as review of procedures & governance policies.

- Knowledge and familiarity with risks associated with KYC & AML from India Regulatory frameworks (RBI & SEBI)

- Be comfortable leading co-ordination across teams during market events to manage information exchange and triage emerging risk

- Challenge the status quo - challenge the risk and control framework to further enhance the control environment.

- Partner with the business lines to understand the residual risks that exist after issues are resolved and engage across the front to back to apply lessons learned to improve our risk and control Framework

- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships at all levels including senior management.

- Strong verbal as well as written communication skills with ability to prepare and present management information.
