Position Description :

Deutsche Bank AG is a global institution that provides financial services across the entire spectrum of products in India. The Compliance Department serves the Bank to make sure that the regulatory obligations are duly fulfilled and complied with as well as promotes a culture of Compliance in line with the values and beliefs of the Bank.

The person would be responsible in providing advisory support on regulatory requirements affecting the business - Global Markets - GCT, Compliance mainly focusing on Structured Finance, FIG, cross border financing, having knowledge of RBI/SEBI guidelines on local debt financing, FEMA, FPI regulations, provide training to business to ensure that they understand the application of the relevant laws, rules and regulations and conducting compliance reviews on a regular basis.

Position Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities :

- Work closely with Head of Global Markets, Compliance in India to manage regulatory queries and expectations, implementing the same & providing advisory support.

- Approve NPAs and NTAs for GCT Transactions and Market Products after due verification considering RBI/SEBI guidelines.

- Act as a channel of communication to receive and direct all compliance issues to appropriate resources for investigation and resolution.

- Guide CT on the testing process.

- Proactively manage all aspects of regulatory inquiries and requests pertaining to Financing.

- Collaborating closely with other support and/or business units to ensure appropriate stakeholder involvement in regulatory inquiries and examinations.

- Escalating, monitoring, tracking, and reporting all regulatory issues to ensure the timely response and remediation of all regulatory-related matters.

- Analyzing regulatory trends and developments to determine impact on business conduct, policies and procedures, systems and processes.

- Participating in ad hoc special projects and initiatives as needed.

- Being a contributing team player in a challenging and evolving regulatory environment, incorporating a positive and flexible approach.

- Ongoing good relationship with regulators, industry associations, policy makers, etc.

People Management :

- Proven ability to work collaboratively and persuasively across the organization including regionally and globally is a must.

- Deeper understanding of RBI & SEBI regulations.

- Maintaining Regulatory relationship is a must.

- Gives attention to details and ability to find rationale to transactions.

- Strong analytical, writing, presentation and communication skills.

Experience/ Exposure :

- 10-12 years relevant experience.

- Prior experience, whether in the capacity of compliance, risk, banking operations function.

- Banking professional possessing a strategic as well as granular understanding of regulatory risk, including emerging risk issues.

Education/ Qualifications :

- Post Graduate +

- Compliance or any other Professional Certification
