Job Title : Business Control Officer

Location : Pune, India

Role Description :

- The incumbent will work within the Enterprise Process Management (EPM) function to scope, plan and implement a business process management program aligned to DB group Enterprise Process Management framework, provide guidance in terms of BPM requirement analysis & design, Business process taxonomy and minimum meta requirements to DWS divisions .

- The EPM function is part of the DWS COO Control Office which provides the first line risk management framework and oversight of operational risk.

- The team works closely with risk owners to identify, plan mitigation, define tolerances or accept risks and prioritizes risk exposure for reporting to the Information Risk Management Council (IRMC) and other control forums.

- The team provides summary risk positioning to the group's second line risk management division. In addition, the team facilitates and manages all external and internal audits and compliance requirements for various DWS functions.

- Within the program "Enterprise Process Management", the Business Process Management Lead and Business Process Analyst ensures that BPM methodologies and standards, especially business process documentation and modelling guidelines are applied in a systematic way. Based in one of the DWS centers in India this role will deliver business process modelling support to business functions across locations.

Reporting to Team Manager Divisional Control Office, this role will be an instrumental support function to develop standardized and aligned business process documentation in a professional BPMN solution.

Your key responsibilities:

Enterprise Process Management:

Objective of EPM practice is to support various DWS divisions in building a holistic BPM function across varying maturity level in line with DB group enterprise process management policy.

Enterprise process management team will facilitate divisions to manage, evaluate, observe, design, plan, monitor and control divisional process in line with group 'Enterprise Process Management' procedures.

Roles and responsibilities may include a variety of duties including, but not limited to:

Business Process:

- Assist in developing and maintaining DWS BPM framework.

- Support DWS divisions in implementing Enterprise Process Management (EPM) i.e., a. Process discovery, b. Process modelling, c. Business and Technical Quality Assurance, d. Publication of approved process models and d. Annual re-certification process.

- Conduct trainings on EPM & EPM tool for internal teams,

- Ensure that BPMN 2.0 standards, as well as other BPM modelling guidelines and conventions of the bank are consistently applied.

- Apply knowledge acquired on business process modelling notations to various forms of documenting processes.

Stakeholder Management and Interfaces:

- Carry out administrator activities like user management in BPM tool, BPM tool configuration, maintenance, and issue resolution.

- Communicate proactively with internal customers and team members.

- Support integration and alignment with other BPM related IT solutions,

- Ensure seamless information exchange with other stakeholder groups, e.g. in the areas of training and IT system support

- Develop strong working relationships with business stakeholders (process owner/ functional heads)

- Create User Manuals/Training Materials: Guides and materials created to help end-users understand and use the new system or process effectively.

- Produce Status Reports and Dashboards: Regular updates on the progress of the project, including any risks, issues, and milestones.

Continuous improvement:

- Pro-actively identifies opportunities for process standardization and harmonization and shares them to the BPM network via the BPM Methodology Strategy & Architecture Team

- Contributes to the development and continuous improvement of the BPM modelling guidelines.

Business Process Risk Management:

- Support DWS divisions to identify and assess process risks through various risk identification process, i.e., Risk & Control self-assessment (RCA), incidents, findings. Etc

- Assist in design, implement, and document control framework to ensure the controls are aligned to process objectives.

- Implement and maintain process risk and control governance structure in line with groups risk and control framework policies and procedures.

Your skills and experience:

- Degree (ideally in Finance, business administration) or equivalent

- 3-5 years of professional experience in Control management, Audit, Data Governance, Risk Management, Compliance, Finance, Operations, or related field

- 1-3 years of experience in BPM/BPMN / BPRM and modelling support

- BPMN 2.0 or other BPM / Operational Excellence certification preferred.

- Experience in working in a complex global environment.

- Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders.

- Strive for the achievement of excellence.

- Ability to prioritize and manage dynamic workload.

- Proficient knowledge of English (written & spoken) is a must, German or other additional languages a plus.
