Deutsche Bank - Financial Reporting Manager

Working for an onshore team in the EMEA region. The team’s primarily responsibilities are:

- Finance production activities ranging from Production of daily PnLs, Risk Monitoring, Monthend Pnl process, and adhoc requests from Onshore Finance for a range of products which are MNA (Mergers and Acquisitions), ECM (Equity Capital Markets, Trade Finance & Forex Monitoring.

- Perform month-end close activities – SAP journals and reconciliations

- Balance sheet substantiation, various MIS reports- various analysis and commentary.

The incumbent should be able to:

- Supervise the team and establish a control framework to ensure quality deliverables are produced on time for onshore clients’ review (Daily review of reports and data produced would be a major requirement)

- Motivate the team performing these activities, perform performance appraisals for the team

- Build strong team performance resiliency, ensuring cross-training and back-ups are in place.

- Review team tasks & processes on regular basis and contribute to reengineering / efficiency initiatives

- Build & maintain strong client relationships, report and agree team performance KPIs with clients.

- Handle team conflicts, time management, discipline and general work ethic issues within the team

Skill Sets Required

- Strong Accounting & Finance Fundamentals.

- Proficiency in MS Excel and hands on knowledge of other MS applications – Word & PowerPoint

- Excellent written & spoken communication skills.

- Incumbent should have good team spirit, drive and problem solving skills.

Experience & Education Criteria

- Educational qualification – Chartered Accountant or MBA (Finance)

- Post qualification experience of 6 years, of which at least 2 years should be in product controller / financial reporting roles in a financial services company, preferably an investment bank.

- Knowledge of investment banking products and markets will be an advantage.

- Team handling experience (at least 1 year) essential.
