Overview :


Treasury Technology are responsible for the design, build and operation of DB's Treasury trading, balance management and Liquidity Reporting ecosystem. In partnership with the Treasury business we look to deliver technology solutions that enable organizational liquidity management and efficiencies. We currently have a significant regulatory agenda to deliver that includes some of the top 50 programmes in DB.

We are standing up a new Pune engineering centre and are looking for a number of senior architects and engineers to help shape and lead the new team. Initially the team will be around 100 FTE and we expect this to grow significantly over the next couple of years. We will be adopting a scaled Scrum approach and will use the Pune engineering shop as a blueprint for the wider global Treasury Technology organisation.

Treasury Technology is a function within Corporate Technology that drives the change agenda for Group Treasury and parts of Finance. Treasury Technology is developing a suite of new applications through one of Deutsche Bank's Global Top 20 initiatives. This portfolio of change delivers will provide benefit to numerous Treasury functions including Liquidity Management, Funding, Assets & Liabilities Management, Capital Management and Collateral Management. There are numerous regulatory initiatives which need to be delivered in parallel.

Much of this infrastructure is supporting daily processes and Regulatory disclosures and therefore demands a step-change in application functionality, reporting and data sourcing. Deutsche Bank is looking for an experienced, motivated and ambitious Data Architect to join a small team responsible for definition of Treasury's Data Architecture including taxonomy, lineage (source to report), governance, usage and alignment to other groups across the Enterprise. The Data Architects will be expected to work closely with the Treasury business as well as functional and solution architects.

Key responsibilities :

- Engage business and business analysts to define data requirements across Treasury functions and ensure that data models will support delivery of solutions.

- Provide direction to business analysts and developers.

- Engage Enterprise Architects to identify Source Systems of Record.

- Engage Enterprise Architects / DB Domain Data Architects to ensure Treasury's Data Sourcing initiatives align to strategic data vocabulary, sourcing and modeling activities.

- Ensure models are integrated appropriately across Treasury functions and transparent to business stakeholders.

- Delivery of improvements to Treasury's Data Governance Framework including best practice suggestions where appropriate.

- Ensure data lineage, data models and functional aspects are captured accurately and appropriately within Data Management tooling.

- Hands on analysis where required to support business analysts as appropriate.

- Mentor/Educate more junior/offshore team members.

- Delivery of Data Quality improvements through partnering with Source Systems of Record.

- Driving data sourcing delivery efficiencies through partnering with business analysts & development teams.

- Playing a key role in assuring that Treasury's Technology objectives are achieved.

- Ensure internal control standards are met.

- Oversee data architects in near shore locations to ensure data architects function as a team and share information.

Experience :

- 5+ years experience in the following areas :

i. Well developed (business / data / functional) analysis skills, including ability to quickly understand business requirements.

ii. System development life cycle: waterfall / agile.

iii. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

iv. Strong ETL skills.

v. Strong Data Warehousing / Modeling / Database design skills.

vi. Excellent Stakeholder management.

- 2+ years experience in the following areas :

i. Data Architect position(s) held within Investment Bank.

ii. Data Governance.

iii. Regulatory reporting, preferably within Treasury / Liquidity domain

- Experience of data mining via SQL.

- Able to model relationally or semi-structured.

- Experience of working with ETL tools such as Informatica and using data management tools such as PowerDesigner and EA Sparx.

- Exposure to BI Tools such as Tableau / SAP Business Objects.

- An understanding of architectural frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachmann.

- Hands on knowledge of Treasury, Risk and / or Finance functions within an investment bank.
