Senior Marketing Manager/VP, Marketing

Desta runs a Rural Marketing Service that it aims to be the best in India using efficient mediums and using technology for effective targeting. We are looking for a Senior Marketing Manager/VP, Marketing to lead the service, which is currently in start-up mode.

Responsibilities:

- On strategic team with COO and board members

- Take P&L responsibility of the Rural Marketing Service

- Develop and implement marketing systems to support growth countrywide

- Recruit clients (both companies and non-profits) for the marketing service

- Build and lead a marketing team to implement campaigns

- Innovate ways of marketing in remote rural areas

Required Qualifications:

- At least five years’ experience running marketing campaigns in rural areas

- Operational experience is a must

- Active network with companies targeting rural areas is a must

- Needs to be technology focused and data driven

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience leading a significant sized profit center is preferred. Preferably, scaled from ground up. – Yes, we prefer a superman/superwoman.

- Exceptional communication skills to gather inputs, propose solutions and provide accompanying rational – We need someone who can listen and sometimes talk.

- Has strong family support – So, that you can focus on delivering the best marketing service in India.

- Believes in tight fiscal management and find affordable ways to develop solutions

- Aptitude to push for innovative outcomes and results

- Education: We don’t really care about education as long as you can deliver.

Location: Mumbai

Travel: 25%

Compensation: Competitive in cash and stock.
