Design Manager - Project Management - Construction Firm

Job Output :

- Design Managers have an important role to play in custom projects and new product development.

- Need to understand the design intent given by Architects and have a thorough knowledge of manufacturing capabilities and be able to marry them to provide custom solutions for projects.

- To work with the product management team on innovative new products that reflect the current trends in market.

- Project Managers are an integral part of the Architectural Specialties project management team.

- Design Managers are technical experts adept at building effective relationships with key decision-makers which enable them to educate our customers, participate in the bidding process and ultimately win high-value projects.

- To partner effectively with manufacturing setups (both owned and vended) to understand and develop capabilities and leverage on their current capabilities to create interesting solutions for launch or specific projects.

- To play a very important role in winning projects by giving appropriately engineered solutions that ensure they meet customer intent and ensure project cost, quality and schedule metrics are achieved

- Project Managers plan and organize all phases of large, complex projects from quoting through invoicing. They provide project leadership to CAD Designers and Project Coordinators to ensure project cost, quality and schedule metrics are achieved.

Education/Experience :

- Bachelors/PG Degree required, ideally in a technical discipline such as Architecture, Engineering, Design or related field

- 5-7 years of relevant design development work experience, ideally in the manufacturing industry related to construction

- Strong proficiency in Inventor, AutoCAD, SolidWorks or Pro-Engineer
