Design Manager - Private Equity Fund

Our client is a private equity fund from the US looking for experienced resource for the role of Design Manager.

Description and Job Responsibilities of the required resource:

- Preparation of project brief and aiding in selection of design consultants.

- Ensuring coordination between all design consultants towards preparation of concept drawings, schematic drawings, working drawings etc.

- Ensuring that the design and final working drawings are in accordance with the consultant and architectural standards.

- Responsible for budgeting and proposing of specifications based upon inputs from design consultants.

- Helping the planning team with scheduling and project planning when needed.

- Responsible for supervision and quality-control of drawings.

- Ensuring design information is of the right quality and keeps pace with project timelines.

- Ensuring the design process recognizes current legislation, standards, and codes of practice, and drawings in accordance with the statutory and regulatory building requirements.

- Be responsible for design documentation as well as contracts related to the projects.

- Carry out meetings with the management and site team members and make presentations during team meetings.

Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, plus minimum 7 years' experience in working on Residential High-Rise projects and retail complexes with a reputed developer/ consultant.

- Excellent AutoCAD drafting skills along with demonstrable skills in Microsoft Excel, Adobe Photoshop, Google Sketchup.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation techniques.

- Open to frequent outstation travel.

- Strict adherence to deadlines.
