Design Head - Product Development - FFS/Packaging Machines

Our Client a leading French MNC is looking for Head Design to be based in Chennai for their new product line of FFS Machines.

Head - Product Development:

Description : As Design Head you will work collaboratively with company's  brand design, marketing and engineering teams to create and build a world-class enterprise brand. You'll also guide design engineers towards the best possible design and brand outcomes while staying cognizant of our business needs.

- The ideal candidate will have a successful track record managing design projects from concept to completion.

- Working on time frames, managing budgets, and above all exceeding client expectations.

- The candidate must be of great communication skills, capable of articulating and coordinating critical project with customer, design team & fabricators.

Essential responsibilities :

- Design & development of new products and execution of design strategy

- A team leader to lead a team of design engineers

- Hands on experience in development of packaging solutions machineries

- Good understanding of sheet metal manufacturing processes, surface treatment, material storage and material handling and assembly.

- Expects to push the team for new thinking and expand new interpretations of the brand expression to meet ever-changing customer demands.

Required: 

- B.E(Mechanical ) with 15-20 years of design management experience preferably with packaging solutions back ground for food / pharma and chemicals (FFS Machines)

- Familiarity with ISO standards, Proficient in Metrology and Gravimetric principles.

- Ability to use MS Windows, Microsoft Office applications, Autocad, Solid Works & Industrial Communication Protocol Diagnostic programs.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English.

- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision and a high level of attention to detail.

- Must have sound knowledge of Health & Safety Procedures and Practices in an Industrial Establishment environment.

- Capable of working independently as well as within a team.

- Strong leadership competences - being passionate, accountable, efficient, transparent, ethical and a learner.
