Deputy Manager - Taxation - QSR/Retail - CA

Looking for CA's with 5-9 years of PQE from QSR/Retail/Services Industry for a Listed QSR Firm

Key Responsibilities:

- Advise the Corporate Finance Head on various matters pertaining to tax planning & execution (for e.g. GST)

- Periodically review all processes within the organization from a tax perspective & identify areas of opportunities for savings of tax via direct and indirect tax strategy suggestions.

- To work/drive building of the systems for data retention and tools for data analysis.

- Ensure timely completion of assessment of VAT/CST in various states

- Monitor developments on the tax front (new judgements, rules and regulations) and assess impact of the same

- Extensively monitor tax litigation and monitor strength of the company's stand on a periodic basis 

- Guide the team in conducting/ arranging workshops for tax related awareness in teams/ departments basis need 

- Ensure adherence to all tax (direct and Indirect Taxation) related statutory compliances

- Ability and confidence to deal with tax officer and external consultants for manage to day to day compliances and litigations 

- Deal with statutory auditor for quarterly and annual tax related tax compliance reporting

- Build work relations of the team with audit committee and external auditors.

Profile :

- Chartered Accountant (CA)

- 5-9 years of experience in handling indirect taxes (VAT mandatory) + direct taxes from QSR, Services, retail industry.

- High proficiency and knowledge of accounting & taxation principles

- Solid interpersonal and communication skills

- Strong knowledge and working proficiency in SAP

- Excellent skills with Microsoft Excel

- Hands-on, meticulous and analytical

- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking

- Independent, self-starter and able to thrive in as fast pace and dynamic environment
