Deputy Manager - Taxation - Financial Firm - CA

We are currently looking for a Deputy Manager for Indirect and Direct Taxation.

This is for one of the leading product based Fintech companies in Chennai

Direct Tax:

- Expert knowledge of direct tax laws

- Working, payment and filing of returns for TDS

- Working and payment of Advance Tax, Self-Assessment Tax

- Preparation and working of Tax Audit and getting Tax Audit completed

- Good knowledge of Transfer Pricing Regulations and compliance thereunder

- Finalization of Computation of Total Income and Filing of ITR

Indirect Tax:

- Expert knowledge of indirect tax laws

- Working, payment and filing of prescribed returns for GST

- GST registration formalities for new entities

- Advise management on tax optimization plans

2. Assessments:

Direct Tax:

- Income Tax regular and scrutiny assessments

- Handling Rectification of Mistakes, Order Giving Effects (OGE)

- Attending to all Notices received from Income Tax department

- Handling Transfer Pricing Assessments

- Preparation and submission of required data and documents during assessments

Indirect Tax:

- GST assessments

- Preparation and submission of required data and documents during assessments

- Attending to all Notices received from GST department

3. Litigations:

- Attending to Show Cause Notices

- Interacting with Advocates for litigation matters

- Attending to direct tax litigations at Disputes Redressal Panel (DRP), CIT (A), ITAT, High Courts and Supreme Court

- Attending to tax litigations w.r.t. GST matters and interact, coordinate and provide support to external Advocates;

4. Accounts & Finance:

- Continuous General Ledger Scrutiny

- Interaction with Statutory Auditors and getting accounts signed within 60 days

- Getting Internal Audit concluded

- Fixed Assets Register maintenance and verification

- New Funding of working capital and capex

5. Other matters:

- Advising the management on any other matters from time to time

- Attending and advising on all taxation and accounts matters of group companies

- Initiating bill payment process of all advocates & counsels concerned with taxation department till final payment of bill.
