Deputy Manager - Operational Risk Management - Life Insurance

- Monitoring over insurance product File & Use Compliances

a. Conducting assessment of File & Use and Product Specification to establish product features which require exception monitoring (especially having financial implication)

b. Finalize scenarios for exception report development for the selected product features

c. Ensuring feasibility study for feature validation method i.e. exception report development and / or sample testing and accordingly, finalizing the exception monitoring method

d. Logging operational risk incident for the exceptions which are established and ensuring closure of such incidents with corrective / preventive actions

- Implement tool for exception monitoring and reporting

- Independent review of Compliances Self-Certifications provided by Business teams via Compliance Management tool

a. Selecting samples for review on concurrent basis

b. Validating whether self-certification is correct or not

c. Logging compliance incident for the exceptions which are established

d. Ensuring closure of such incidents with corrective / preventive actions

- Conducting compliance reviews and risk assessment which may involve following steps

a. Planning and scoping

b. Discussions and walkthroughs

c. Review supporting documentations like SOP / Policy / Manual / BRDs

d. Establish testing scenarios and execute the same

e. Identify and close process / control improvement opportunities with concerned stakeholder

f. Track the deliverables / actionable

- Basis review / assessment findings, ensure that

a. Key Risk, if any established and put under monitoring

b. Updation of risk register

c. Procedural documents like SOP / manual / policy are updated with changes, as required

- Provide support for

a. Team / departmental initiatives / ad-hoc activities

b. Governance and reporting

- Ensure co-ordination with / support to designated Compliance / Risk and functional SPOCs to deliver on assigned tasks
