Job Description: - Provide legal advice and support to the Kalyani Group companies. - Deal with legal disputes that may arise in the conduct of business and provide legal opinions to minimize liability to businesses. - Reviewing, drafting, vetting, negotiating, and assisting on international business contracts that include MOU, Supply, and other contracts. Mapping risks and liabilities for appropriate contracts. - Legal Due- diligence, drafting, working on transactions, coordinating with senior management and attorneys. - Conducting Legal Research, Legal Analysis and Providing requested Legal Opinion. - Advising and assisting on civil and arbitration matters which may include briefing counsels, coordinating with external counsels, preparation of research notes, devising litigation strategy summaries, monitor progress, follow up on ongoing development, and brief seniors. - Advising on Policy and compliance-related matters, if required. - Work on assigned strategic projects e.g., understand whether intellectual property protection is adequate for business, devise processes and checklists for various research and development initiatives, map gaps in existing processes followed, and devise process roadmap and help KCTI in patent application and backend processes checklists. - Imparting intellectual property-related knowledge to internal stakeholders, business, KCTI, and conducting other training sessions as may be required. - Identifying IP candidates in the Defense Division and devising processes and checklists for the protection of IP - Preparing IP database and updating the same in PPT format for on-going MIS requirements
