Deputy Manager/Manager - Control Tower - Transport Movements

The prime responsibility of this position is to device and implement mechanism for monitoring, measuring and managing transport movements.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Develop good understanding of end to end business cycle - not only SCM but business as a whole and understand key areas of performance and business requirements.

2. Work with SCM leads on identifying key KPIs of their area of work and link them with business objectives.

3. Convert all the Key KPIs (function wise, role wise) and find out mechanism to quantify them.

4. Identify power users within various functions within SCM and raise proactive callouts/issues.

5. Work closely with IT and Processes teams to convert these measurable KPIs into graphical form and mechanism to monitor.

6. Develop various escalation metric and mechanism to escalate it with predefined time limits to ensure no interruption in any of the business processes of SCM.

7. Develop Daily, Weekly and monthly reports to take proactive action on any problems identified.

8. Key success factors are, how fast problem areas are identified (pro actively) and ensure action on the same.

9. Information support to customers and internal stake holders about the movement of goods.

Educational Qualifications : BE + MBA (tier-2/3)
