Role: DM Legal - Payments Location: Bangalore /Mumbai Experience: 6-10 yrs Company: Fintech Unicorn CTC: Competitive Roles & Responsibilities: Provide Accurate and Timely Legal Advice: - Offer precise and timely legal guidance to business teams and senior executives. - Address a diverse range of legal matters, balancing risks with commercially viable solutions. - Drafting, Reviewing, and Negotiating Contracts: - Create, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts and legal documents. - Ensure the protection of the company's interests in all contractual agreements. Strategize Complex Commercial Deals: - Analyze and strategize complex commercial deals in collaboration with corporate development teams. - Provide advice on legally compliant structures for deals. Assess Contractual Risks: - Evaluate the scope of work, business processes, service levels, and legal aspects of contracts. - Identify potential liability risks related to proprietary data, trademarks, IP, data security, and non-standard terms. Effective Risk Management: - Apply proactive risk management techniques to address potential legal issues aligned with business interests. - Offer recommendations to mitigate risks effectively. Communication and Negotiation: - Communicate and negotiate with external parties, including banking partners, merchants, external counsel, and public authorities. Candidate Requirements: Legal Qualifications: - Hold a law degree from a reputable law school. - Possess a minimum of 6 years PQE in handling legal matters in the BFSI, technology, or payments sector. Expertise in Corporate and Financial Law: - Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and understanding of corporate and financial law and procedures, with a focus on the fintech/payments space. Communication and Drafting Skills: - Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills. - Showcase high-quality drafting skills with meticulous attention to detail. Collaborative Team Player: - Work effectively in cross-functional teams to achieve common goals. - Understand the Company's business and operations. Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: - Demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities. - Independent Work and Management Skills: - Ability to work independently on complex matters within a matrixed organization. - Possess strong management skills and the ability to thrive under pressure.
