DM - Investment Consulting  Our Client a leading captive house of UK insurance company is looking for the following role:  Department : Investment Consulting  Reports to : Manager - Investment Consulting  Span of Control : 4 - 5 members  Role Description :   Role Requirements :   - Manage a team of Analysts and Assistant managers in producing research reports  - Maintain an efficient process for delivering research adhering to accuracy and timeliness  - Demonstrate subject matter expertise in handling the research vertical. Staying abreast with recent developments in world economic and political developments and its consequent impact on the Investment market.  - Create/update models for asset returns; implement ideas from research papers and backtest to verify/reject hypotheses.  - Benchmark research outputs against best in class research houses and define a clear path for improvements.  - Manage and produce SWIM projects with intellectual inputs to provide direction to the business and research. Assist the business in expanding its footprints in delivering SWIM to other geographies.  - Consider market and regulatory changes and its implication in Investment and related EB businesses thereby suggesting products and process improvements  - Develop IC Mumbai as an Innovation hub producing research and white papers that augments with business objective.  - Channelize the subject matter expertise of individual team members into meaningful ideas and product development  - Providing assistance and mentoring Analysts and ensuring that they become independent SMEs  - Adhoc research projects on fund managers or products as required  Technical Skills :   - Excellent verbal and written communication skills  - Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team  - Competency in Statistics, hypothesis testing, financial modeling.   - Programming skills would be advantageous.  - Good Excel, Word and Outlook skills  - Ability to absorb new information quickly  General Skills :  - To attend any queries, concerns, suggestions, development of Analysts  - Participate for training of the Analyst  Preferred candidate profile : Prior Experience 6 years of work experience in financial sector  Education/Qualification :   - Post graduate in Maths, Eco, Stats etc /BE/Btech in any discipline,   - Candidates having MBA/CFA/FRM will be an advantage
