Deputy Manager - Equipment & Procurement - FMCG

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Manage the development and evaluation of new and review of current equipment for all KFC India BMU concepts. Provide equipment related technology support to Operations, FIT and SCM as required. Lead and source through open innovation, new technology ideas and potential development for future technology pipeline development.

- Total Stores - FY21 550 stores

- Design, evaluation, approval of new and review of current equipment - leveraging Supplier capabilities to YRI advantage.

- Develop and maintain equipment evaluation protocol and performance standards, for both Suppliers (QA) and YRI Operations use.

- Manage roll-out of new and modified equipment in conjunction with other Departments including documentation for procedures and training.

- Maintain documentation for controlled equipment - specification/design manual.

- Recommend Supplier approval, corrective action, termination, in conjunction with Supply Chain Management Department

- Manage audit program for equipment and address remedial action.

- Research advances for best practice in equipment technology/QA to YRI advantage.

- Address equipment design/procedural safety issues with particular focus on risk assessment.

- Ensure appropriate communication to India BU Franchisees.

- Act as a conduit to Global Engineering in translation of equipment initiative and in resolution of specific equipment issues.

- Undertake other special project work and financial analysis as required by the business

Educational Qualification:

- Essential: Mechanical OR Electrical Engineering

Experience:

- Minimum 5 years Food Industry experience with knowledge of equipment manufacture, quality, and auditing programs is essential.

- Multi-unit food service experience and exposure to restaurant, operation and equipment preferred.
