Deputy Head - Research & Development - India - FMCG

Role Purpose (short, and do not list tasks)

- He/she develops/leads a strong India local R&D team/organization incl. its people and processes to ensure that the R&D activities sustainably support India business Development and strategy in alignment with regional and corporate strategies.

As part of the A/P R&D team he/she supports the execution of all new product and VAVE projects , drives product construction design and leads product industrialization.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead Engineering activities for the company internal and external production sites including tooling and equipment, manufacturing in order to ensure product industrialization in line with the specs and targets

- Work together in local/international cross functional project teams for India NPD and sourcing projects and foster a close cooperation between/among all departments (marketing/sales, AP RTC, Procurement, Supply Chain, Quality, Production) to deliver products that create the look and feel of a brand through their innovative features and designs

- Lead/manage VAVE (cost saving), Quality improvement projects and provide technical support to consumer complaints

- Lead India R&D team, manage personal development of the team members

- Plan and manage the R&D budget for India R&D group

Drive cross-functional team to involve in DFMEA to ensure quality in line with our HSE standards and sustainability objectives.

- Contribute to the global NPD ideation process, adding the local production and supply perspective

- Technically validate marketing claims and support marketing for the development of demos such that the product differentiation vs. competition can be demonstrated to consumers in store

- Scout new product and technology trends and infuse them into the innovation process

- Lead resolution of crisis/problem situations in the process
