Job Context and Purpose:

- The incumbent is responsible for the Purchase function of all ACPL India plants. Will develop, optimize and manage overall supply chain functions. Develop and continually improve the systems across the organizations.

Industry: Pharma Industry, Food or Chemical (All cases should have applicability of regulatory kind of environment in terms of Purchasing of raw materials)

Qualification: MBA - Operations (Optional - Supply chain management)

Responsibilities :

- Oversee organization wide management of the Procurement, contracting, and evaluation of services

- Procurement of right quality, right quantity material as per the agreed norms at competitive price within the specified purchase lead-time and as per the Company's policies and procedures

- Development of alternatives and reliable sources of suppliers

- Development of acceptable Indigenous substitutes in case of import or non-standard items

- Providing timely service from reliable agencies to avoid downtimes on the machines / equipment- s

- Manage vendor relationships

- Develop and /or participate in the development of the supply chain strategy for the organization

- Develop various initiatives to streamline the supply chain function

- Develop and implement new systems, best practices in procurement, inventory control and other optimizations in-order to grow the business

- Manage contractor and subcontractor activities, reviewing proposals, developing performance specifications, and serving as a liaison with the organisations
