Deputy General Manager - Purchase - Manufacturing

Position: DGM - Purchase (MNC Manufacturing Co)

Role:

- This position will initially report to the Head-Purchase and Subcontract, and will transition into that role shortly

- Responsible for Ram Material, Capital Equipment, IT Products, Services and for all purchase and contracting of an upcoming new manufacturing plant

- Will lead a team

Requirements:

- Full time Engineering Graduate (mechanical or electrical) + post-graduation in materials management/ sourcing

- 15+ years of experience in a leadership role in purchase/vendor development of raw materials, drives, fabricated components, assemblies, machined parts in manufacturing of capital equipment industry is must

- Experience in handling all engineering items-mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, etc.

- Experience in procurement of IT products, services and green field construction projects will be an added advantage

- Experience in dealing with overseas suppliers. Well versed with the import procedures

- Highly skilled in negotiation of commercial terms & good analytical skills

- Good knowledge about technical specification,able to find out the deviations in the suppliers offers

- Ready to travel at vendors place as & when required.

- Responsible for new vendor development & selection of right vendor as per company's policy

- Responsible for new product development & execution of project enquiries/orders

- Good communication skills. Proactive in communicating internally & as well as externally.

- Able to guide subordinates &ready to assist senior faculty in the organization/department

- Knowledge of Auto-cad & Project Layout Drawing would be preferred

- Team leadership, problem solver, strong understanding of business and strategy

- Self Driven, shall possess high ethical standards

Location: Mumbai. Should be willing to move to Pune in future
