Deputy General Manager - Process Improvements - Media/Publishing

JOB DESCRIPTION :

Key Responsibilities :

Key Performance Area 

1: Project Coordinator: x-functional cost excellence program:

- Work closely with Project Leader to identify and support the implementation of projects to reduce cost, improve process efficiency and increase organizational productivity resulting in significant business upside

- Help develop a robust projects pipeline in close coordination with various functions to contain costs and negate inflationary trends

- Analyse macro-economic trends, competitive information, and internal data to distill relevant insights to drive decision making

- Liaison with finance and functional champions to formulate monitoring templates for tracking project milestones and gauging the financial impact of projects undertaken

- Provide management with status updates and reporting on projects progress on a monthly basis

- Serve as a change agent to drive a culture of cost consciousness in the organization

Key Performance Area

 2: Project Coordinator: x-functional internal process improvement program:

- Support Project Leader in engaging with various functions to identify levers to ensure delivery

- Conduct market analysis and bench-marking to adopt/evolve best practices

- Set up processes to capture, analyse and assimilate information through management dashboards

- Provide management monthly progress reports/presentations

Skills :

- Graduate/Post Graduate in Economics, Commerce, Engineering, Management with 12+ years experience as part of large-scale cost excellence/process optimization/business excellence programs. A good Pedigree of education is highly desired.

- Proficiency in various Process Improvement frameworks i.e. Lean Six Sigma etc.

- Experience in media industry is not essential, though preferred

- Good imagination and problem solving attitude.
