About the Company: A Leading Global Publishing House with over 200 years of Global presence and more than 25 years of publishing some of the finest writers from the Indian subcontinent. The group publishes approximately 250 new books every year, with a print and digital catalogue of more than 2000 titles across 10 imprints and an array of genres.

About the Role :

- We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy General Manager - Digital Marketing to lead our digital initiatives.

- The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing digital strategies that increase brand engagement and purchase intention, in alignment with brand proposition and overall marketing strategy.

- You will oversee the company's digital marketing initiatives, including social media, SEO, performance marketing, Google, partnerships, collaborations, newsletters, and Amazon.

- You will work closely with the Head of Marketing and other stakeholders to develop and implement strategies that increase brand awareness, engagement, and revenue.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the planning, budgeting, and execution of all digital activities.

- Maintain a strong online company voice and enhance brand awareness through digital mediums.

- Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate.

- Develop digital strategies and campaigns across multiple domains, including Search, Social, Video, Content, Newsletter, Influencers, Collaborations, Website, and Performance Marketing.

- Liaison with our various agency partners to optimize marketing campaigns to best fit the consumer needs.

- Strengthen the path to purchase, conversions, and measurement.

- Analyze user engagement, report on web traffic from all social media, identify habits of our online customers and suggest ways to reach a broader audience.

- Lead, supervise and motivate members of the digital marketing team.

- Research products and services to identify and onboard new brand partners and agencies.

- Establish best practices in digital marketing.


- Relevant years of experience in digital & content marketing with a track record of success in delivering effective digitally led marketing programs.

- Post-graduate degree in marketing, business, or a related field.

- Experience working on projects from ideation to development to deployment.

- Thorough understanding of brand and performance campaign thinking and execution.

- Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate.

- Superior communication skills.

- Ability to develop marketing budgets, analyze ROI, and spends.

- Agency experience is a plus.
