The Position: Deputy General Manager - Corporate Finance

Objective:

The purpose of this role is to execute the activities of the Group's Corporate Finance function and also work for the Group's Investor Relations, Mergers & Acquisition and Debt related activities.

Priorities and Responsibilities of the position:

1. Group Mergers & Acquisitions:

a. Identify and determine the feasibility of possible mergers and contributing to the M&A negotiations

b. Work on the strategies and objectives for the M&A division; assist in the overall execution and operations to ensure M&A services meet organizational objectives

c. Assisting in the M&A process of Group Company, from target company selection to post-merger integration

d. Ability to work on complicated presentations, financial models and analysis

e. Establishing relationships with clients and provides consultation to the Group Companies on M&A issues

2. Investors Relations:

a. Providing expertise and guidance in Investors Relations management to Group companies, and bringing about relationship with the Investors community/ Analyst community / Sell side

b. Organizing periodic Investor Relations conference at the group level

c. Implement the best Investor Relations practices in the group companies

d. Assist the entire Investor Relations activity of various group companies to initialize uniform, homogenous and state of the art Investor Relations practices, processes and technology

e. Build and maintain relationship across sell / buy side

3. Corp Finance:

a. Though expertise is not required, familiarity and good understanding of Debt/ Equity/ Treasury markets needed

b. Needs to bring to table ideas in these areas for strengthening the Group Companies- financial and capital positions

c. Should have awareness of the Investment Banking industry, preferably Relationship Management and Investment Banking Practices

d. Should be in a position to advise and raise Debt / Equity as and when required

- MBA from a premier institution

- Should have handled Corporate Finance / IR / M&A deal closing responsibilities

- Work background in Investment Banking or Corporate Finance division of any Conglomerate is desirable
