Deputy General Manager - Corporate Affairs

We are in the process of identifying a Deputy General Manager Corporate Affairs for an Indian Multi National with a turnover of more than 7500 Crores per annum.

Position Overview: DGM Corporate Affairs

Purpose of the Role:

In the dynamic landscape of this Restricted Category Industry, characterized by stringent regulations and heightened public scrutiny, the DGM-CA will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head of Corporate Affairs, in shaping and safeguarding the business environment. This critical position within Corporate Affairs is entrusted with providing strategic counsel on internal and external communications, fostering relationships with key stakeholders, and navigating the intricate regulatory framework.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Government Relations - Assist Head of Corporate Affairs to

- Devise a comprehensive self-regulatory platform, ensuring long-term success.

- Develop yourself as a knowledgeable advocate, establishing and nurturing partnerships with regulators, policymakers, and industry experts.

- Effectively communicate the company's vision, plans, and achievements to government decision-makers, influencing policy decisions at both state and central levels.

- Monitor legislative and policy changes, driving industry priorities and recommending strategic courses of action.

- Collaborate with internal teams to educate on the regulatory framework and promote desirable policy breakthroughs.

- Strategize with think tanks, industry bodies, and NGOs to develop engagement strategies, fostering evidence-based regulation

2. Corporate Communications - Work closely with Corporate Communication and CSR team to

- Design and implement communication goals, PR campaigns, and programs aligning with business objectives.

- Conduct proactive and reactive media relations, safeguarding corporate reputation during key announcements.

- Provide strategic communications counsel to the CEO, managing profiles of senior executives.

- Supervise internal communications, including employee campaigns and engagement, intranet content, and CEO townhalls but not limited to.

- Maintain crisis management plans, orchestrating internal and external communications during critical situations

3. CSR:

- Collaborate closely with the CSR team and raw material division to advance the organization's CSR agenda

4. Illicit Trade: Work closely with Head of Sales, RSM's and RIAM's to

- Support RIAMs in combating illicit trade, collaborating with industry associations for joint representation to state governments.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Over 15 years of leadership experience.

- Relevant experience in a regulated industry.

- Relevant experience in Government Affairs with extensive government relations and contacts to carry over preferably in Min of Health, Min of Finance, Min of Agriculture, Min of Commerce, Min of Environment, Niti Ayog, in States

- Postgraduate qualifications in Public Policy, MBA, Journalism, or related fields.
