Reports to Director – Marketing
Qualification : MBA (Regular) With Premier B School Only With 12-16 yrs
Job Purpose -
- Work on Company’s marketing and business development plan and drive strong corporate communications, market and business development strategy alongside Company’s vision through superlative marketing programs.
- To develop, establish and maintain marketing strategies to meet Company’s vision. Effective delivery of the marketing, advertising and promotional programs at the country and Zonal level.
- Lead, manage, and direct the work of the Department to ensure departmental objective is achieved.
- Strategizing and facilitate in Brand communications, Activation and PR strategy.
- Manage the productivity of the marketing plans and projects.
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Marketing & Strategic Planning:
- Create, develop and implement the delivery of marketing strategy, to meet the needs of the overall business plan.
- Design, implement, and facilitate annual marketing plan for the organization.
- Develop a market research program with the external marketing agency which will inform Organization activity and offer a greater understanding of audiences and sales.
- Support and facilitate development and implementation of section business/marketing plans.
- Introduce key marketing policies and processes in order to optimize Sales Force engagement with the organization
- Translating business unit objectives and strategies to develop brand portfolio objectives, strategies and plans to facilitate business unit growth.
- Develops marketing and product strategy, based on knowledge of establishment policy, nature of market, copyright and royalty requirements, and cost and markup factors.
- Work with Zonal Sales Head and Regional Sales Manager on designing and implementing prospecting and customer contact systems.
2. Marketing Budget:
- Formulate and plan the department’s annual budget within the context of the Organization overall marketing budget.
- Support development and execution of zonal and regional marketing budgets.
3. Managing Marketing Suppliers for Brand and Promotions:
- Protect the use of the Organization brand in all forms of communication internally and externally.
- Interest in corporate design with understanding of, and commitment to brand consistency.
4. Oversee Business Development Activities:
- Work with the respective teams to evaluate effective BTL activities planned for the country and Zones to deliver anticipated results from a campaign.
- Assisting Marketing Director in strategic planning for designing the overall Marketing strategy by identifying and implementing exemplary promotions and campaigns for the Sales Force and the customers.
- Work with regional offices on designing and implementing prospecting and DB contact systems.
5. Oversee Corporate Communications Activities: External & Internal communications and systems and Oversee firm’s electronic marketing efforts including supervision of Web site design and maintenance.
6. Oversee activities around Product, Promotions and Brand Development and Market penetration support to the Sales Organization.
7. (Eventually on successful scale-up in the role) : Manage Marketing Function:
- Supervise Marketing Function.
- Make staffing and hiring decisions within marketing department.
- Build and develop a marketing team which is competent, commercially astute, dedicated and efficient.
8. Develop the Marketing Function aligned to the need of a fast growing Organization as ours:
- Develop and deliver insightful presentations and strategies to the executive committee where appropriate.
- Ensure the integration of the marketing function st they drive or support strong long term growth of KPI’s for the country.
9. Sales & Marketing Campaigns:
- Create seasonal marketing campaigns, and additional promotions as required with the marketing team, to maximize sale force recruitment through communicating with current and prospective audiences, establishing alliances, developing promotional opportunities in print and online and forming marketing and media partnerships.
- Evaluation and monitoring of all campaigns in print and on line, as well as, box office and sales reports, to inform future campaign initiatives.
Required Skills - Strongly Business and Marketing acumen.
- Strategic orientation – ability to see the future and plan current activities to be in sync with the long term view.
- Detail Orientation & Strong Team management, Execution skills
- Ability to evaluate, assess, depict marketing strategy.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
