Deputy Director - Economic Affairs

We need a masters in economics (mandatory) and or mba(finance) for this role and people who can join in 10-30 days maximum.

The client is one of the most stable and reputed organization in India.

1. Prepare policy papers for submitting to related Ministries / Government agencies during the process of policy formation, budgetary allocation, forming legal framework, etc. Participate in industry consultations, regulatory hearings, etc organized by the Government (Central/State) and present views of the industry for framing policy conducive to growth of the sector

2. Conduct regular qualitative or quantitative industry surveys involving field, interview or focus group assessments for proposing strategic initiatives to the government. Prepare research reports and industry studies; interpreting results and providing recommendations.

3. Provide market intelligence data & trends analysis - Conduct research, prepare reports, or formulate plans to address topical economic issues.Analyze the macroeconomic policy framework and undertake policy oriented research. Conduct Primary and Secondary Research on latest issues.

4. Prepare recommendations on various issues concerning industry for onward submission to Government and Parliamentary Standing Committee

5. Collect and process economic and statistical data using sampling techniques and must be well versed with econometric methods. Process inputs gathered from secondary research/ focus groups discussions with industry experts for identifying specific policy and regulatory impediments.

6. Liaison and network with industry stalwarts and Regulatory bodies, Ministries, Multilateral agencies. Facilitate in resolving issues & concerns of the industry through representations, interactive meetings and regular follow up with related Government agencies/ departments and development agencies like Department for International Development, World Bank, IFC, etc
