Deputy Director - Communications

Job Summary :

- The job requires the development and execution of communications strategy for the organisation.

- The incumbent should possess the leadership ability necessary to articulate and develop a central role for the Communications Department and execute it across the organisation. The job also requires the incumbent to grow - Sustainability Tomorrow-, an online publication service from the Centre.

The incumbent will report into the Director.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the execution of all communication of the Centre

- Develop and implement strategic plans for the Communications team to facilitate the achievement of the Centre's vision

- Manage and build relationships with key industry media

- Make - Sustainability Tomorrow- a commercially viable product

- Create organisational and services literature and other forms of communication

- Recommend, implement and maintain site design and operations

- Develop fresh story ideas

- Coordinate and service communication requests

- Copyedit, proofread and revise communications

Minimum Qualifications and Experience :

- Preferably a Master's Degree in Mass Communication or equivalent

- Minimum of ten years of experience in professional services in communications role

- Preferably technical knowledge or qualifications in web development

Demonstrated skills :

- Ability to work effectively in teams as well as independently

- Excellent communication and convincing skills

- Fluent in English and Hindi

- Ability to work effectively within tight timelines
