Work Location: Mumbai(HO) Division/Department: Projects Reports to: Chief Projects Officer Role Description: - Seeking an experienced Deputy Chief Projects Officer to plan and supervise a wide range of warehouse and industrial construction projects from start to finish. - He will organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner over minimum 20 acre to maximum 150 acre land development. - The Project Manager must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills. - The goal will be to ensure all projects are delivered on time according to requirements and without exceeding budget. Essential Duties/Responsibilities : The Strategic Project Manager is expected to coordinate all the operation related activities including design management, execution planning, scheduling, tracking cost and time, engineering, procurement, construction management, with the key responsibilities for quality, cost and time. Key Result Areas: HSE : - Monitor HSE management plan for the project and report if any critical miss in the standard process Quality Assurance and Check : - Monitor Quality management plan for the project and report if any critical miss in the standard process Project Management: - Define & Establish Methodology, Process & Governance, Collaborations between Stakeholders, Technical and Contractual Support including Project Planning & Scheduling, and Resource Management, Track overall project procurement process, Ensure timelines confirmed to customers for leased spaces are met with zero snags. Operations Management: - Oversee planning, design, and construction of the projects, from its beginning to its end, responsibility for the entire associated value chain. Monitor a project's time, cost and quality. Ensure compatibility with all project delivery systems from design to build. Develop and maintain Project Reporting to the Senior Management / stakeholders and customers. Commercial and Financial: - Preparation of cash out flow in line with programme, Cost Optimization, Earn value management and cost to complete tracking. Incumbent Profile : Minimum Education Requirements :B.E. - Civil + Post graduation in Construction/Project management/Operations and PMP Certified Years of experience : 15-20 years Key knowledge areas : - Clear understanding of statutory requirements for Industrial and warehousing green field and brown field development projects. - Excellent communication and networking skills. Must able liaise effectively with design consultants, statutory consultants, PMCs, and end customers to ensure smooth and hassle free project execution process. - Project Management exposure to construction sector i.e. Warehouse/Commercial/Residential etc. - PEB construction understanding i.e. design criteria, pros and cons etc. - Hands on experience to develop project construction schedule using Microsoft Project software. - Technical knowledge about FM and DM type of flooring and design criteria. - Well versed with NBC codes and associated fire and life safety regulation which need to adhere in warehouse building design. - 15 years in large scale development project management. Exposure in Industrial-warehousing park construction management will be an added advantage. Key Capabilities Behavioral and Technical : - Act as the primary liaison between the MD and senior leadership team and associates; ongoing and proactive in follow up with various stakeholders on behalf of the MD - Provide project management for strategic initiatives on behalf of the MD and oversee the successful execution of project - Collaborating with respective teams to create project plans, modelling financial and operational opportunities, quantifying the financial impact, and creating presentations to stakeholders that develop the story of the project - Monitoring of project schedule and ensuring that the work is executed as per timelines and necessary technical guidelines and highlight any delays in achieving project timeline. - Identify and notify the key project risks to stakeholders and drive a mitigation plan actively - Facilitate Program management including budgeting, planning, execution, challenges, and activity tracking, using the project management approach for ROI tracking of key projects - QA / QC & EHS audits compliance & monitoring - Attend meetings with the MD and capturing meeting notes and actions, and follow up for the MD - Build and develop relationships with key stakeholders for increased efficiency and effective responsiveness into existing operations. - Assist and communicate with executives in decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers - Hands on experience of using Microsoft Project, PPT and Excel - Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude - Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices - The ability to work in a fast-paced environment without compromising on quality and satisfaction. - Coordinate and foster teamwork between all project stakeholders
