Job Title:

Senior Analyst - Operational Finance

Reports to: Manager/Senior Manager

Role purpose:

- The role involves providing assistance to the Group Treasury team across a range of responsibilities, including settlement processes, crucial reconciliations, and end-of-month activities.

- This involves tasks like reconciling bank statements, reviewing cash submissions in Treasury software, and managing intercompany netting and settlements.

- Critical reconciliations to be handled encompass bank, liquidity, and facility reconciliations.

- Furthermore, the role involves tasks such as vendor setup, payment approval, and managing user access in Bankline and Treasury tools.

- Additionally, responsibilities include preparing performance dashboards for intercompany settlements by market, providing support for audits, and contributing to monthly and quarterly reporting.

- Moreover, there is a component of assisting markets with cash forecasting.

Key Accountabilities:

Central Treasury Support:

- Reconciling and matching cash, cash equivalents, and borrowings reported in Month end reporting (BPC) with Treasury tool.

- Setting up calendar for Intercompany Netting settlement process in Treasury tool and transfer of matched invoices to the payment module in Treasury tool.

- Performing facility reconciliations to ensure alignment of reported amounts in Treasury packs & Monitoring credit line utilization to prevent overdrawn loans compared to allocated facilities.

- Analysing and reconciling market net debt positions per reporting tool (BPC) and Treasury as part of liquidity reconciliation.

- Clearing loan mismatches between reporting tool (BPC) and with supportings in Treasury tool during month-end and quarter-end.

- Conducting bank reconciliations between ERP (D365) and Treasury Bank accounts.

- Facilitating the intercompany netting process by collaborating with markets on AR and AP invoices net position and liaising with Central Treasury & Banks for payment related queries.

- Generating Intercompany netting statements for FX deals & regenerating netting statements post FX deals completion with the help of the Group Treasury team.

- Approval of netted payments and making sure successfully transmission of payments to counterpart bank account.

- Working with markets and Treasury to arrange funds in bank if the net settlement results in outflow and the local markets need funds to affect the settlements agreed.

- Circulation of net cash remittances through ERP along with the details of invoices settled for each entities.

- Timely setup of Bank accounts and Escalation level setups for Intercompany module.

- Addressing payment queries from markets and providing solution to the issues within the TAT.

- Making sure the IC vendors bank account changes are done on a timley basis as part of Entity rationalization.

- Performing variance analysis between forecasted and actual cash, while aiding markets in enhancing fund management strategies.

- Setting up External vendors in Coupa Treasury for single payments and incorporating bank accounts into the Coupa Treasury system.

- Reviewing & Approving Coupa Treasury, BMG, and Bankline new user access.

Business Partnering & Reporting:

Partnering with local market finance teams to:

- Ensure local market is completing processes within tight monthly deadlines.

- Coordinating with markets to assist with cash submissions in the Treasury tool, covering bank balances and loan amounts.

- Assisting market/entity users during Intercompany Receivable and Payables cut off on loading/confirming intercompany invoice details in the Treasury tool.

- Encourage prompt balance matching to maintain timely settlement of Group balances.

- Liasing with Tech support & Market to resolve integration issues.

- Resolve any items within the disputes workflow of the system by co-oridating between markets and ensure invoice disputes are resolved on a timely basis.

- Liasing with market contacts on Central confirmation of management charges invoices.

- Assisting markets with uploading balances in the Cash Optics tool as part of cash forecasting and performing variance analysis.

Partnering with Central Treasury, regional & group finance teams to:

- Preparing dashboards, KPIs & Monthly performance reports.

- Communicating & Presenting metrics, results, ageing summary to regional & group finance teams.

- Identify significant trends that might be of particular importance, which are an indicator that regional finance needs to act to either encourage or discourage the trend.

- Generating diverse reports and dashboards to support Treasury operations.

- Collaborating with Implementation & Tech support team during new deployments of Treasury tools by performing UATs.

- Biannual user audit support.

Knowledge and Qualifications:

- A graduate or master's degree in commerce, MBA, or semi-qualified Chartered Accountant with 6 to 8 years of relevant experience.

- Demonstrated experience in effectively managing Intercompany netting and vendor settlement processes within large corporations.

- Proficient in bank line utilization and adept at handling settlement-related inquiries.

- Proficiency in cash forecasting, hedging, managing FX exposures, and conducting bank, facility, and liquidity reconciliations.

- Hands-on experience with month-end and year-end close activities.

- Proven ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with individuals at all organizational levels.

- Strong analytical acumen with a track record of delivering insights through data analysis.

- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills adaptable to diverse global cultures.

- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with advanced Excel skills considered advantageous.

- Demonstrated success in driving end-to-end process improvements.

- Proficiency in senior stakeholder management.

- Ability to foster strong engagement with regional and local finance teams.

- Experience in process reengineering and alignment with group policies.

- Knowledge of the Media or Digital sectors would be beneficial.

- Fluent spoken English with a clear emphasis on effective communication, collaboration, and relationship building across diverse global culture.
