Position : Manager Controller
Qualification : Chartered Accountant
Work Location : New Delhi
Relevant Experience : 6-8 years of post-qualification with 4-6 years in Controller profile
BRIEF ABOUT THE ROLE :
- Financial System : Setting up accounting/finance systems and processes to ensure cost control and prevent leakages in the system
- Business Analytics : Slice and dice data to understand impact on top-line & bottom-line
- Business Metrics : Validate variances and trends; evaluate new business opportunities, cost reduction efforts, ROI, DCF, etc.
- Investor Relationship Management
- Cash Management
- MIS : Put in place strong SOPs for monthly MIS to analyse organization performance across finance & operation verticals
- Financial Reporting & Accounting : Ensure accurate and timely completion of all accounting processes
- Accounting Operations : Manage all accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
- Audit Formalities : Finalize all statutory reports and ensure appropriate completion of audit formalities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
a. Financial Operations
- Prepare and publish timely periodic financial statements & management analysis reports
- Oversee cash flow planning and ensure funds availability
- Manage the entire cash and investment portfolio
- Monitor the development of system & tools to process & analyse critical financial and operational information
- Jointly analyse the financial information with various business heads to develop strategies for business operations & growth
- Engage with the Board, Strategic Partners and appropriate committees around financial issues, trends, and modifications in the operating model
- Liaison with other shareholders including financial institutions, equity partners, and independent auditors
b. Compliance
- Ensure presence of effective internal controls and confirm compliance with all applicable laws, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial & tax reporting
- Ensure all secretarial records are in order and necessary filings are timely completed
c. Financial Due Diligence
- Lead the due diligence exercise during the fund raising process (debt/equity)
KEY SKILLS :
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures (IND AS)
- Experience with creating financial statements
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skill
- Strong Communication skills and liaising with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the best outcome for the group and escalation of issues on a timely basis
- Self-Motivation/driven
- Ability to respond to internal and external requests/ inquiries in a timely and professional manner
