Vice President - Tech

- We are looking for an experienced VP, Tech to develop and implement the short and long-term technology roadmap for the company. You will be the one to ensure that our vehicles are technologically advanced in every aspect.

- The area of responsibility for this role is very wide and you would be expected to be well versed in current technological trends and familiar with the engineering behind vehicle make.

- He/ She must be an excellent leader who can oversee all technical aspects of the company including the overall strategy, development, and continuous evolution of our vehicles.

- You will be required to build and manage the entire tech team and drive in-house capabilities for Engineering designing,testing, prototyping, validation, project management, etc.

- The end goal is to facilitate accelerating development and long-term success for the company.

- Being in a start-up, you would be expected to work across verticals and don various hats, but the main focus areas would be :

- New Product Development

- Responsible for the entire automotive product development cycle from early conceptual phase, through research & development, advanced engineering, product development, application engineering, product launch, and post launch support.

- Design, development, and implementation of new and innovative products to the market at right time.

- Design and implementation of end to end technical solutions/devices through engineering.

- New Vendor Development for various components.

- Introduce innovative technologies and solutions as per market requirement in our exiting vehicles and new launches.

- Building an agile team that can adapt to the requirements of the market and deliver advanced products.

- Technical Alliances

- Evaluate various technologies and vendors and partner with them for new or existing product development.

- Stitch alliances with companies to develop proprietary powertrain, battery management system for our vehicles and later on shift these activities in house.

- File & get patents for the proprietary technology developed at Deltic in the field of powertrain, controller, BMS, telematics & others.

- Manage contracts and relations with customers, vendors, partners, and other stakeholders.

- Research, Development, and Testing

- Develop a marquee team that enables the company to develop cutting-edge technology and offer the most advanced vehicles in the market.

- Create the required infrastructure at the plant and office to properly engineer and test the vehicles going into the market.

- Strengthen the in-house engineering capability of the company.

- Implementation of advanced IOT in all our vehicles.

- Maintain, manage and establish key performance indicators to drive continuous improvements in our vehicles.

- Discover and implement new technologies that yield a competitive advantage.

- General

- Develop technical aspects of the company's strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals.

- Supervise the complete process of the vehicle making to ensure functionality and efficiency.

- Evaluation and implementation of new systems and infrastructure.

- Influence and drive projects to meet key milestones for the company.

- Reduce Manufacturing errors & defects and improve quality assurance for the vehicles manufactured at our plant.

- Reducing operational cost and automation of processes.

- Track and technically evaluate product performance in the market.

- Engage, mentor and nurture team members.

- Take the initiative in thought leadership, innovation and creativity.

- Support all functions of the business to work together.

- Work with cross-functional teams, internal and external with ease and drive them towards a common goal.

- To be engaged in every core aspect of organization and business building.

- Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in the EV landscape.

- Manage and optimize resources to meet financial targets.

- Assessing and implementing improved processes and new technologies, and collaborating with management regarding the implementation of these improvements.

- Spearheading strategies to steer the company's future in a positive direction.

- Oversee customer support processes and organize them to enhance customer satisfaction.

- Ensuring regulatory compliance and product approvals with different bodies.

- Innovate solutions for better servicing & repair/warranty process related to end customers & dealers- Leading to reduced TAT and better response.
