Enabling Areas (EA) at the U.S. India offices are the support arm of the organization and comprise several groups including Talent, Technology, Finance, Communications, Field Operations, etc. EA gives every client-service business unit access to the best and brightest resources when it comes to support services. More specifically, EA enables the business units to solely focus on satisfying clients and developing new products and services to sustain competitive advantage, while they consolidate and standardize a diverse collection of systems, processes, and functions. The team provides a wide array of services to the U.S and India professionals, and is continually evaluating and expanding its portfolio.

Global Finance :

- The DTTL Global Finance Group supports DTTL and member firms globally with Member firm financial statement audits, financial reporting, analysis and related strategic projects.

Overall purpose of the job :

- The individual will perform detailed financial analysis and report creation, and project management. The role includes creation of deliverables for executive leadership, so the successful candidate must be highly organized with a keen eye for detail, and be able to quickly respond to leadership ad hoc requests.

The key job responsibilities include the following :

Financial Reporting and Analysis :

- Analyzes member firm financial data, including the data reported to analysts

- Manages design and build of complex financial models, when required

- Quickly understand clients- needs and develop ad hoc financial models and deliver on time

- Continue to advance processes with new initiatives: for example measuring innovation and exploring the use of GCI data to build up the analyst relations data

- Manages creation of executive-level reports in PPT and Excel, typically for DTTL and member firm finance leadership

- Develops expertise using DTTL reporting tools and systems, such as SAP BW

Project management :

- Manages typically high-profile projects in support of financial and operational performance improvement and initiatives as defined by Analyst Relations leadership

- Identifies detailed actions required to mitigate risks and successfully deliver a project

- Should interact with member firm CFOs and drive getting the analysts relations statistics through member firms

- Development of persuasive management presentations and other support materials (such as project plans, tracking documents, meeting notes, and status reports) to drive the implementation of projects

- Ability to interact and explain financial models to various clients, including Partners and Directors

- Employs a forward-looking approach focusing on potential opportunities for improvement, leading directly to actions resulting in better financial and operational metrics

- Able to work with contacts across the firm to resolve complex issues

- Ensures open communications and quick and accurate responses to leadership requests as needed

Team Management :

- Provides support to other team members and help them with financial modeling

- Delegates tasks to the team members and co-ordinate activities within the team

- Conducts training on Excel and bring the India team and new members up to speed on Excel and PowerPoint skills

The key skills required :

Background :

- 8-10 years in an accounting, corporate finance, operations or consulting role, preferably in a global organization

- Undergraduate degree with rigorous analytical and quantitative focus; Master's Degree in a business field preferred

- Must have experience managing projects and dealing with clients

Skills :

- Understands financial accounting (income statements, balance sheets, cash flows) and financial and operational metrics/KPIs (key performance indicators) used by professional services firms.

- Proficient in Excel for financial analytics and data modeling; PowerPoint for creation of executive-level presentations; and familiar with Access. Can effectively use other commonly-used software, such as Word and Outlook, in completion of work.

- Proficient, or able to become proficient quickly, with DTTL financial systems (SAP ECC, BW, other as needed).

- Clear, concise verbal and written communication. Must be able to effectively communicate with member firm financial contacts, DTTL Finance team members, internal clients, and all levels of management of the Firm.

Characteristics :

- The ideal candidate must possess a flexible work style and be able to work beyond the normal schedule during peak periods in order to meet deadlines.

- Able to develop network within DTTL Finance to aid in the team's understanding of financial data

- Should be able to work effectively, with minimal day-to-day supervision, and within a team environment to significantly contribute to the success of the team.

- Must possess a client-service mindset and a desire to take on tough and challenging projects. Will proactively investigate and mitigate risks, coordinating with team members and others to resolve issues and escalate issues as necessary.

- Outstanding research, analytical, and quantitative aptitude, as well as advanced attention to detail, are required for success in this role.
