USI - UK Quality Risk and Security (QRS) Lead

An exciting opportunity exists for an individual to perform a Quality, Risk and Security (QRS) Lead role for the UK firm in USI. The successful candidate will work in the heart of the operations team based in Hyderabad,India and will act as an important link between the Operations Team in India and a central QRS Leadership Team in London.

Work you- ll do

As Quality Risk and Security Lead for the UK firm in USI, you will be responsible for creating a risk intelligent culture, driving change to improve risk management and quality, and building the bridge between USI and the rest of the QRS Community based in the UK. Your responsibilities will include:

- Acting as the local first point of contact for any queries in relation to: conflicts, ethics, independence, financial crime and data protection and feedback any questions or issues to USI leadership and SMEs in London

- Becoming the - go to- person in relation to quality best practice and risk management, providing guidance under the direction of QR senior management and raising the profile of QRS locally

- Supporting in the oversight and monitoring of key QRS issues, providing key metrics and assurance updates. This could include formal projects as well as day to day observation and feedback

- The timely escalation of issues and ensuring agreement on appropriate remedial / mitigations

- Helping maintain the risk register

- Assisting with refreshing the training curriculum and contributing to the on-boarding process for practitioners, and delivering training sessions on a variety of topics

- Working closely with the QRS Central Team and Quality and Risk Management (QRM) Service Line leads to coordinate local initiatives and projects

- Following a Deal Review Board (DRB), checking that the relevant risk controls for client facing roles are put in place, specific to a Client engagement and reporting on those

- Working closely with both USI and UK Leaders to ensure a successful growth of Delivery Model usage in line with the Firm's strategy

- Working closely with the UK IT leaders both in the UK and in USI to enhance IT security and privacy

- Keeping business continuity plans up-to-date

- Management of USI compliance with local policies (e.g. vetting standards), regulatory requirements and member firm standards

- Raising awareness of information security and data restrictions

- Working closely with Deloitte Business Security (DBS) team based in London

- Providing support during security incidents and investigations

- Providing guidance and steer as well as overseeing a small number of Quality and Risk Champions based in the Business teams (Assigned to support the implementation of QRS initiatives in their respective teams)

- Reporting into both the UK Operations Director and the Enabling Areas (EA) lead in USI as well as the QRS S&O Director in the UK

The team

The Quality Risk and Security (QRS) group in the UK comprises of the National Quality and Risk Management team (NQRM), Deloitte Business Security (DBS) and the Functional Quality and Risk teams. The Quality Risk and Security Strategy and Operations (QRS S&O) team helps define and implement strategies from a QRS perspective for the UK member firm. An important element of the team is the risk management within delivery centers such as USI. The QRS lead acts as the representative of the QRS S&O team in USI and acts as a conduit between the QRS teams in the UK and the practitioners in USI.

Qualifications

Required:

- Education: Master's degree (preferably in business/risk)

- Technical skills: MS PowerPoint; MS Excel and MS Word

- Ability to influence and communicate effectively at different levels domestically and across the Deloitte network

- Demonstrable knowledge of core privacy and data protection principles

- Strong communication (both written and verbal) and presentation skills

- Analytical skills and problem solving

- Strong, ethical mind-set, commitment and enthusiasm to progress the QRS activities

- Willingness to travel to the UK occasionally

Preferred (Not essential):

- Certification in Risk and Information System Controls, Prince 2 or Certified Information Systems Auditor desirable

Work location: Hyderabad

Work timings: 11am - 8pm (With the ability to be flexible to meet business requirements)
