Manager-Deloitte Global HR, India Operations

The US India Global HR team is the HR services center for the Global Organization of Deloitte (DTTL). An arm of the broader Deloitte Global HR group, they undertake the entire spectrum of HR service offerings from sourcing, exit management to HRIS system administration & reporting. Some of those activities are job offer rollout, onboarding newly hired professionals, employee care, R&R processing, database management, performance management support, year-end compensation activities, executive reporting and exit management.

Work you will do : 

Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited is seeking a Manager-HR operation to lead Deloitte Global HR operations. This role is responsible to manage India operations for Deloitte global HR supporting US, Canada, UK, EMEA and APAC regions providing services in business advisory, talent analytics, HRIS data management, compensation & benefits, learning & development and acquisition & global mobility. Design and execute India operations strategies and create eminence. Lead and manage transformation projects, organization set up and key HR activities. Lead and coach a team of five assistant managers and 17 HR professionals.

Process Management : 

- Manage HR operations for Deloitte Global across US and other countries with presence of global resources

- Identify and lead process efficiencies for exceptional service

- Partner with business on identifying opportunities for transition of specialized HR roles to India

- Design and implement staffing, process excellence and operational strategies to get the India team to the next level

- Drive technology implementation and upgradations. Partner with various teams to develop BRD, design and testing of technology solutions for HR processes

- Manage operations for various HR competencies such as employee data management in SAP, Talent Analytics, Recruitment support, contractor management, Global Mobility, Learning & Development, Business advisory and Organization development

- Design, develop and drive leadership dashboards, review and analytics for senior leadership and chief operating officer

- Partner with various internal teams on process handoffs, best practices, collaboration and delivery of activities

- Manage stakeholders trough regular connects, understand and implement business specific changes and enhancement

Stakeholder management : 

- Partner closely with the process stakeholder in understanding business expectations to drive service excellence in the team

- Understand expectations, design delivery goals & mechanisms to meet stakeholder expectations

- Connect regularly to seek inputs in quality of service provided, areas of opportunities

- Create eminence for the team by highlighting key contributions, team member skills, opportunities to collaborate with the business on various initiatives.

Project management/initiatives : 

- Partner with various process stakeholders on driving key strategic activities for the team

- Actively work with leaders on headcount planning exercise for Deloitte Global by providing data, analytics trends and leadership presentations

- Drive key projects such as work transition to various support teams to increase effencies

- Plan and implement future state workforce, services and evolution of the India support team

- Drive key projects for the leadership such as design and implementation of delivery models for the HR team

- Drive technology implementations for process and system enhancements on behalf of the business

Team Management : 

- Performance Management of the team

- Regular check-in meetings with team members providing feedback, development and course correction

- Be aware of the current updates and communicate to the team on timely basis.

- Monitor, coach, guide, support and encourage the team to reach their self-development Support additional learning program administration activities as needed

- Identify opportunities to develop and enhance team skills

- Identify ways to keep engaged and feel valued as a resource

- Design learning path for team to provide customized learning plans to developing skills

- Design career paths and succession planning for team members for sustained growth and retention

Qualifications Required:

- Demonstrated understanding of a broad range of HR procedures and processes

- Experience dealing with difficult people in an effective and professional manner

- Effective project management skills

- Intermediate to advanced skill with Word, Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of SAP and SharePoint preferred

- A client-service focus; a professional, friendly and approachable manner coupled with the ability to communicate with staff at all levels, especially when under pressure

- The role will be critical to ensuring strong lines of communication back with our non-India HR team and must know how to operate outside of a local, Indian culture.

- Ability to work using your own initiative

- Ability to organize work in a fluid and fast-moving environment

- Passion for Human Resources and Talent

- Impeccable judgment and professional maturity; demonstrated ability to advise on sensitive issues and facilitate local issues

- High energy and a proactive approach

- Exceptional attention to detail and strong experience not just working with, but understanding data to ensure the highest degree of audit check and quality

- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

- Excellent interpersonal skills

- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Ensure quality of all standard Human Resources function and firm wide reports

Preferred:

- Working knowledge of HRIS (SAP, BW) and/or other HR systems such as Taleo, Learning Systems (Saba) experience a plus

- Strong project management skills

- Operation excellence

- Experience in broad range of HR activities
