Job Description

Title: Manager - Data Analytics

Function/Service line: U.S.India Financial Advisory Services

The key job responsibilities include the following:

Lead, provide insights and develop solutions involving Investigations, Litigations, disputes, fraud and non-compliance. Involved in end to end project management activities.

Demonstrates proficiency on at least three of the below disciplines:-

Microsoft Technology Stack including C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET, IIS

Databases: SQL Server Database, exposure to Oracle - PL/SQL

Data Visualization such as Tableau, Qlikview or Spotfire

Statistical Tools: proficiency in SAS, R, SPSS, CFM Excel

Java, Hibernate, STRUTS, Spring along with Big Data Technologies:- Hadoop is an advantage

Proficiency in applied analytics, modeling techniques/advanced analytics (segmentation, regression, decision tree analysis, dimension reduction etc.)

Responsible for performing in-depth qualitative and quantitative analysis of large complex transactional/accounting data sets including time-series/historical data

Must have deep knowledge in any of the core business domains preferably AML (Anti Money Laundering), Fraud, Forensic, Asset Valuation, Financial Advisory & Services, supply chain and healthcare

Demonstrates expertise to analyze data from different ERP systems (Oracle financials, SAP etc.) and provide guidance and assistance to the junior staff members

Solid foundation of architectural concepts and best practices. Ability to lead teams building scalable solutions

Good financial services knowledge and knowledge of proprietary tools, advises junior colleagues on best practices

Develops standard procedures such as coding standards, Quality Management checklists, User Interface guidelines and applies them to the engagement and guides the team to follow and comply with the standards

Exhibits excellent project management skills by taking active role in project economics, resource planning, establishing of work break down, project communication

People Management:

Liaison with and manage teams effectively across cross-geographies - US & India

Contribute in eminence programs - thought leadership, white paper, sector/industry expert etc.

Guides others and improves their work through expertise in functional and technical skills and fine tuning the final deliverables

Works closely with Talent team and other enabling services on various administrative and recruitment activities

Delegates effectively and contribute to the development of less experienced team members

Develops training plans for the team and train the teams

Delivers effective and timely feedback to the team members

Assists counselees and team members in career development planning

Demonstrates ability to build and manage the new tools imparting the understanding of the business knowledge on various industries and revamp the existing tools to suit the changing client requirements

Identifies client needs above and beyond current services provided and discuss them to the engagement senior management

Business Development:

Identifies new sales opportunities with existing and/or new clients

Actively contributes to Business Development Initiatives by involving in sales & pre-sales activities like client proposal preparations etc.

Brings in and manage revenue based on revenue targets sets by Management

Network and negotiate to identify and sell potential new services or expand existing engagements.

Prepare and present complex written and verbal materials (reports, findings and presentations).

Practice Management:

Contributes to achieving improvements in profitability levers

Should have a good understanding of what different functions/verticals in the firm do and get acquaintance of whom to reach to serve clients better

Assists in pursuing potential sales of additional services related to or following an engagement, involves significantly in sales contributing to development of pre sales materials specific to the business opportunity

Work Experience: 10 to 12 years

Educational Qualification: MCA; MBA, Masters Degree in technology or a quantitative discipline
