Role description

This is your opportunity to join Deloitte Global Financial Advisory's growing Forensic Technology team. This team is an international practice dealing with a variety of global fraud, corruption and regulatory investigations.

Our highly experienced Forensic Technology team assists clients in addressing the technological challenges of today's complex investigation and litigation environments by implementing thoroughly practical approaches supported by specialist technology and processes. Our team is able to identify when a single piece of data was communicated, generated, altered or deleted, by and to whom, and under what circumstances. This evidence assists our clients- in their business dispute, commercial investigation or multimillion pound litigations.

As a technical expert you will work alongside our wider international forensic investigation teams assisting in developing innovative solutions, collecting, processing, analyzing and interpreting large client data sets. In addition to the technical aspect, the role is client facing and may involve periods working directly with the client on site on electronic discovery or cyber incident response engagements, therefore as well as technical skills, strong interpersonal skills are a must. Within the Forensic Technology team you will have a role supporting the development of new propositions to solve our client issues and involvement with business development.

Due to the project based nature of the work, every day is different. For this particular role, we would expect you to be working on both cyber incident response investigations and electronic discovery projects. Requirements

To qualify for the role you must have:

- Distinction in academics

- Strong quantitative and analytical skills

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- An ability to build relationships and liaise with clients

- Strong problem solving and conceptual thinking capabilities

- The ability to manage and prioritize workload

- Experience of delivering projects as part of a team

- Flexibility on working hours and a willingness to work on projects abroad

Required Technical Skills

- Experience with using forensic software applications (EnCase, FTK) and techniques to capture electronic data from computers, external media, networks and mobile data devices

- Experience of performing computer forensic analysis in support of litigation and/or investigation

- Experience in conducting data breach or security incident investigations

- Previous experience with working in an eDiscovery environment with the use of tools such as NUIX, Relativity or Clearwell

- Data processing skills in electronic disclosure environments

Additional desirable experience includes:

- Masters degree in a field with emphasis on computer security or investigations

- Experience in scripting or programming

- Systems or email administration experience (MCSE or equivalent certification)

- Understanding of backup or archiving technologies

- A high degree of technical knowledge of computer hardware and software systems

- Certifications such as GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), GIAS Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE), EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE) or similar.
