Role Description :

This is your opportunity to join Deloitte's market-leading Business Modelling Group ("BMG").

You will benefit from working with one of the most experienced teams in the field and will gain wide exposure to blue chip clients (corporate and public sector) and financiers working across a wide range of sectors.

Working with BMG, as part of the firm's Corporate Finance practice, will position you to support on all aspects of business modelling and analysis on a broad range of engagements to enable better decision making.

The sort of work that we typically get involved in includes developing models and deriving analysis to support :

- Strategic options

- Strategic business planning

- Feasibility studies

- Mergers & acquisitions

- Carve out & divestment

- Corporate and financial restructuring

- Working capital and cash flow management

- Business cases

- Post merger integration

- Cost reduction programmes

Responsibilities :

In BMG you will have the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of transactions/projects where you will :

- Support clients throughout the model development process developing outstanding technical skills and commercial awareness

- Work as part of a team to design, develop and test models in order to enhance our diverse range of clients' analysis and decision making processes

- Work to tight deadlines, quickly adding value on complex, high profile and sensitive projects

- Be expected to be innovative in developing client solutions and also in driving the BMG strategy forward

Requirements :

- To qualify for the role it is essential that you have had previous experience of working in a financial modelling team within a professional services firm or large corporate.

- Preferred experience would include developing and/or reviewing models where a key output was integrated financial statements.

In addition, you would ideally :

- Have strong academic achievements including excellent degree and [A-level] (or equivalent) results

- Have strong business diagnostic skills and the ability to apply a logical and analytical approach to problem solving

- Be client focused with the ability to communicate effectively and establish strong working relationships

- Have a methodical and logical mindset to problem solving, an effective approach to time management and the ability to work to tight deadlines

- Have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)

- Be a strong team player

- Have strong excel skills other relevant technical analytical skills could also be an advantage e.g. VBA, Access, SQL etc.

Assistant Managers / Deputy Managers should be have an MBA/CA/CFA Exam qualified (or equivalent), ideally with first time passes, or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience.
