This is your opportunity to join our Business Modeling Group (BMG) serving our UK, Canadian, Australian, Middle East and European member firms. Join our passionate and experienced team and be exposed to a wide variety of high profile engagements involving international entities operating across a diverse nature of sectors.

What we do:

Business modeling involves building and reviewing primarily excel based models to support our clients in decision making. Our services are required for various purposes including infrastructure bidding and mergers & acquisitions. This involves implementing macros and working on visualization software tools to enhance the outputs.

We work as an extension of our Deloitte member firms- business modeling practices and provide dedicated support throughout the project lifecycle. Working on international assignments involving cross-border and cross-service line teams allows you to build your networks across the vast Global Deloitte network.

We also have an active international secondment program, as we believe this plays a crucial role in the overall career and personal development of our staff.

Role description

Working in our BMG practice will position you to support on all aspects of business modeling to enable better decision making. The kind of engagements we typically get involved in include developing models and deriving analysis to support:

- Strategy business planning

- Feasibility studies

- Working capital & cash flow management

- Corporate & financial restructuring

- Mergers & acquisitions

- Carve out & divestment

- Post-merger integration

- Cost reduction programs

Responsibilities

As an Assistant manager you will have the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of projects where you will:

- Support the member firm and/or the client through the model development process

- Work as part of a team to design, develop and test models taking into consideration various scenarios and sensitivities the model will be exposed to, in order to enhance our diverse range of clients- analysis and decision making process

- Work towards tight deadlines, adding value to complex & dynamic models, high profile and sensitive projects

- Be expected to bring more to the table and be innovative in developing client solutions as well as driving the BMG strategy forward

- Be required to have strong business diagnostic skills and the ability to apply a logical and analytical approach to problem solving

Requirements

In order to be considered for the role, your competencies will cover the broad scope of business modeling services, leveraging your professional background and skills such as:

- CA / MBA / CFA (International) / CPA

- Previous experience in model building or reviews

- Strong academic achievements

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

- Interest in working in a challenging and dynamic work environment

- Ability to work with staff at different levels of the organization

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Proactive and an inquisitive mind, with a passion to provide world class client service

- Working knowledge of VBA coding, SQL and/or Tableau is an asset
