Position summary :  Function : Enabling Areas  Service Area : Market Development  Service Line : Eminence CoE-Public Sector  Location : Mumbai  Key job responsibilities include the following :  - The professional needs to support, develop, write, and deploy thought leadership and intelligence projects in the Public Sector (PS) industry.   - The professional will need to develop research ideas, frame hypothesis, analyze quantitative and qualitative data, synthesize findings, and demonstrate strong writing and presentation skills.   The professional will be required to :   - Demonstrate expertise in PS industry or its sub-sectors by identifying differentiated research opportunities. Candidates with no prior PS experience will be expected to ramp-up quickly on the sector.  - Design research proposal, build consensus, and formulate research plan.  - Independently execute research projects and manage all aspects of engagement/project ensuring quality and timeliness.   - Interact with internal and external subject matter experts on atopic.   - Liaise with U.S. colleagues and Research Director to understand, refine, and manage clients- expectations and priorities.   - Apply established research tools and methodologies to develop research and support business decision-making.   - Demonstrate strong writing skills as required for intelligence and thought leadership reports.   - Display strong consultative and engaging presentation skills.  Skills required are as follows :  - Business research/thought leadership in PS industry or any of its sub-sectors is preferred. Knowledge of the U.S. public sector market will be an added advantage. Additional knowledge of some of the PS policy areas such as healthcare, education, human services, transportation is preferred.   - Knowledge of the emerging PS industry trends and views about their implications to various industry stakeholders.   - Ability to work on large datasets and derive data driven insights by applying quantitative and statistical techniques like econometrics, forecasting/simulation, and text analytics. Ability to understand and develop public sector specific quantitative models will be an added advantage.  - Highly developed analytical skills with experience in one or more of the following research methods: Secondary research, expert interviews, and case study research.  - Develop compelling and analytical data visualizations using one or more tools like Excel, Tableau, or other visualization tools.  - Problem-solving and critical thinking skills demonstrating ability to bring out the - why-, the - so-what- and the - how- aspects from the analysis.  - Strong verbal and written communication skills.
