We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer to join the Virtualization team. The Virtualization team develops software for storage virtualization, load balancing, and high-end SAN data services. Data services include volume and snapshot creation, volume cloning, and remote replication.

Role Responsibilities

- Contribute to the development of a commercially available software product on a UNIX platform in a senior capacity

- Employ new technologies to solve difficult problems

- Work with senior staff to plan and size individual projects

- Prioritize and design enhancements; and produce high-quality, well-tested code

- Interact effectively with members of the various technical teams within our engineering organization

Requirements

- 10+yrs + Hands on software development using C++ on a UNIX platform

- Direct experience with object oriented design or a demonstrated understanding of the concepts

- Significant experience with multi-threaded and/or asynchronous programming

- Experience contributing to the development of a commercially available software product on a UNIX platform in a senior capacity

- Proven proficiency in design, coding, and software architecture for this environment

- Build and deliver stable, serviceable solutions in an independent fashion

- Experience with persistent storage internals such as logical volume management, file systems, database, or transaction processing

- Experience with Linux, UNIX, or an embedded operating system

- Excellent debugging skills

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- BSCS or equivalent

- Snapshot creation, Volume cloning.

- Storage Virtualisation.

- Redisk.
