We are a global, multi-billion-dollar corporation - and Accounting is vital to reflecting our staggering earnings, profits, cash balances and other financial results. To meet this challenge, we implement best practices, provide general financial support, resolve queries, prepare reports and provide statistics. We also design policies and procedures that adhere to audit standards and conform to FASB and SEC guidance, as well as compliance with GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley section 404.
Key Responsibilities
- Record simple and complex journal entries, invoices, accruals etc.
- Prepare the reports based on accounting information as needed to meet business requirements
- Perform GL accounts review and settlements and ensure timely close of GL period
- Actively participate in process improvement projects.
- Good knowledge of accounting and accounting principles and US GAAP relevant to the work area
- Understand and implement the company's accounting policies
- Perform the reconciliation of Balance sheet accounts as assigned.
- Ensure that the internal accounting reporting requirements are met within the stipulated timelines
- Advise and consult on financial or accounting issues for a business unit or functions to ensure proper compliance with GAAP
- Provide information and reports for audits - internal and external
Essential Requirements
- Chartered Accountants with minimum 1 year post qualification experience
- CA Inter/B.Com/M.Com/MBA Finance with around 4-6 years- experience in accounting or relevant areas
- Good knowledge of systems and automation tools (including MS XL etc).
- Good communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
Desirable Requirements
- Experience in working in a SAP or Oracle environment will be an advantage
- Experience in working in a large MNC environment or with large audit firms will be an advantage
