Advisor, Cost and Opex Analysis, Services Financial Planning & Analysis

The FP&A Advisor for the Global Support and Deployment organization has a worldwide scope and visibility with finance leaders in the services organization. This role supports the planning process and advises the FP&A Cost Leader and Controllers throughout the year during all planning phases of forecast, outlook, and close.

Responsibilities

- Maintain standard Opex analysis files for monthly close of Opex and Spend in GSD Cost Centers

- Provide the Opex Lead and FP&A Director with analytics and insights into spend performance across Geographies, Accounts and Functions

- Coordinate the worldwide CAPEX plan and outlooks for GSD

- Calculate monthly sales commission accruals for EMEA and APJ sales controllers

- Support special projects related to Opex

- Maintain bridge analysis for FX rates, compensation trends, and outside services

- Recommend improvements or new initiatives and implement them

- Facilitate the monthly maintenance cycle for cost center updates

- Serve as a finance delegate for certain cost centers

- Assist corporate planning with insights into Opex financial performance

- Maintain regular contact with GSD finance controllers to conduct outlooks and forecasts

Qualifications

- Strong analytical abilities and comfort with standard tools (MS Excel, Powerpoint)

- Optimistic approach to work and a desire to improve processes or analytics for the benefit of the overall team and colleague's productivity

- A strong desire to continuously improve and build upon feedback from leaders

- A curiosity to learn the business, maintain regular contact with business partners, and regularly ask questions

- Ability to proactively communicate information and potential challenges

- Comfortable with ad hoc analysis requests and estimating the timelines for completion

- Comfortable operating and communicating with colleagues in a worldwide organization (Asia, Europe, Americas)

- Previous experience in cost or budget planning and analysis is a benefit
