Delivery Manager - Master Data Management - FMCG

The Data Engineering Manager is responsible for the delivery of enterprise master data projects to complete the roadmap defined by Global Master Data Strategy. They are accountable for driving successful on-time implementation of master data solutions for multiple domains across all global regions and businesses.

This role is viewed as an expert in delivery of master data solutions. They will be required to drive alignment with a large quantity of stakeholders across Business, IT Services and Global Business Services in order to define and achieve a mutually agreed outcome. Influencing upward and across multiple functional areas will be critical to success.

The selected candidate would lead an internal team which implements solutions for Data Management, Data Governance, and Data Quality, and outsourced teams which implement and support master data applications.

- As the Manager of Data Engineering, the candidate will be expected to build a new team with the necessary functional and technical skills required to deliver Digital master data solutions for growing application portfolio and changing technology needs. They will need to hire team members to fill open roles, and build a strong team culture focused on delivery.

- Partnering with Business, GBS, and other IT teams will be required to achieve alignment on strategy, goals, and project outcomes.

- Leading the Data Engineering team will require a future-focused approach. This should include defining the future organization based on current delivery plans and predicted support needs, aligning open roles to the future organization design, and guiding existing team members to align with and adopt the future vision. The team's work will also need to be planned, prioritized, and organized in alignment with strategic priorities for master data delivery.

- The ultimate goal of the Manager of Data Engineering should be to build an effective, engaged team which delivers timely, high quality work. This should be achieved by providing clear work direction, role clarity, and performance expectations to internal / co-sourced / outsourced / contract team members, effectively managing team member workload & assignments, prioritizing the team's work, and communicating clearly and often to ensure the team is aligned.
