Job Description:

Job Title: Delivery Lead - Tax

Purpose of the role:

As a Delivery Lead Tax, you will join as part of a global tax team assisting the group from managing project assignments leading to the actual issuance of tax deliverables to our clients. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Client and Account management:

- Build new and existing client relationships and demonstrate knowledge of the industry.

- Work collaboratively with the client in order to resolve tax related issues faced by the client.

- Participate in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients.

- Keep up to date with relevant industry regulatory changes affecting the business operations

- Expertise in experience in US Federal and SALT - tax returns of Partnerships, Corporations and Individuals (Form 1065, 1120, 1040 and 1120S)

- Review and ensure quality of tax products work papers, tax returns and all other tax deliverables.

- Act as technical and knowledge resource to the tax practice

- Assist in the management of a portfolio of clients including the allocation of projects across the global tax team.

- Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges.

- Maintain internal controls ensuring the Company remains compliant with all regulations.

People Leadership:

- Lead and support the set-up of Tax practices to assist with the production of tax deliverables by various tax functions.

- Plan and execute Tax developments by directing and coordinating with other departments of SAPRO.

- Ensure effective staff development: train, coach, supervise and appraise performance ofstaff.

- Manage and oversee a team of managers, supervisors, seniors, reviewer, staff/preparers.

- Acts as a role model and inspires others to embrace and live our purpose and values.

- Models, leads, trains, and motivates multiple levels of the organization to have the highest level of integrity.

Qualifications:

- Post graduate - MBA / CA / CPA / EA

- 10-12 years of US Taxation experience

- Partnerships and Corporations experience mandatory (involvement blend of 30%:70% in either direction for Corp: Partnership)

- Experience in US Tax (Forms 1065, 1120 and 1120S) - Mandatory

- International tax experience is a plus

- Preparation and review of individual, trust, partnership, and corporate income tax returns

- US Federal returns experience - Mandatory

- Not out of US Tax for more than 2 years

Technical Skills:

- Excellent Excel; Word; PowerPoint and MS project skills

- Strong software skills - CCH Axcess, ProSystem, ProSeries, Go System, One Source

- In general, candidates should have an intuitive feel and be a quick study for various software applications.

Behavioral /Non-Technical Skills:

- Result oriented, flexible and ability to stretch/ go beyond

- Effectively managing multiple, time critical tasks

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Good presence and the ability to manage teams and build key relationships with clients

- Develops relevant data, analytics, and insights to inform strategies, plans and decisions and measure their effectiveness

- Operationalizes goals for area of responsibility in line with the strategic intent and priorities
