Responsibilities :
- Acts as Single Point of Contact for GDCE teams and holds oneself accountable for all deliverables at the Portfolio Level
- Collaborate across teams i and its partners in US/India, especially peer teams within other sub-groups of I&BST.
- Lead a team of employees, set the vision and ensure proper direction of activities for execution
- Develop/strengthen next line of talent and leadership
- Develop capability (skills and leadership) for the future/strategic initiatives
- Oversee the development, support, maintenance and implementation of all projects handled through lower-level managers.
- Identify functional linkages with other peer groups, within I&BST as well as outside, in GDCE.
- Influence and be part of strategic decisions affecting the goals of the sub-group and organization.
- Resolves complex and critical issues impacting overall I&BST organization direction and results.
- Responsible for staffing, budget, team- and people-related decisions (training, career development, performance appraisals, conflict resolution, grievance handling, etc.)
- Ability to create plans and operationally align technical issues with business strategy.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency, dedication and passion for exceeding the expectations of internal / business teams through accuracy and efficiency
- Point-of-Contact for communications between the tech LOB (US) and teams
- Interact with and face-off with stakeholders (CIO and CIO leadership team) on strategy as well as routine/ activities.
- Innovate with Impact: Develop POCs, Pilots and solutions that will enhance customer experience
- Build a repeatable engagement model and knowledge base to establish/strengthen global delivery model.
- Manage budget and demand/supply of resources in line with portfolio needs.
- Lead a team of highly skilled technology resources who will be an extended team for our US team and also may work on projects in an independent/managed delivery mod
Mandatory skills :
- Strong knowledge of industry trends in mobile technology, client relationship tools/systems and wealth planning tools/systems.
- Good understanding of technology, product and associated architectural challenges.
- Sound technical knowledge with proven understanding of applying it in the context of resolving business problems.
- People management and leadership skills
- Excellent verbal and written skills, to include advanced interpersonal and proven presentation skills
- Ability to persuade key decision makers and manage strategic communication.
- Knowledge of core banking taxonomy, functions, processes and operations. Knowledge of wealth management domain, taxonomy, processes and operations. Good understanding of regulations affecting this industry.
- Proven technology thought leadership and proven expertise in defining and driving strategy.
- Experience in working with various stakeholders including but not limited to Business Analyst, Development team, Change Management, Production Support, etc.
- Experience in facing off with senior executives and leaders, including CIO and CIO leadership teams.
- Experience with matrix organization and having managed larger programs with resources working in multiple locations and time zones
- Ability to build trusted relationships and partnerships
