Position Overview:

As the Senior Manager of New Business Initiatives, you will be part of a team that is building up the hyperlocal business of Delhivery. We're looking for entrepreneurial generalists who will be able to build up city P&Ls independently using on-ground hustle, a keen sense of business and a strong penchant for product improvements using real time feedback.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

- Develop a comprehensive strategy for launching and scaling our hyperlocal logistics business in target cities

- Identify key market segments within a city, target customers, and growth opportunities to drive long-term success.

- Run and grow both supply and demand in the city and then move on to the next one

-Operational Excellence:

- Build out the local team which will eventually run the city on a steady state

- Own SOP adherence as well as improvement while growing the business

- Oversee the setup of operational processes, systems, and infrastructure required to support our hyperlocal logistics operations.

- Continuously optimize operational performance through data analysis, process improvement initiatives, and technology adoption.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.

- Entrepreneur or Intrapreneurial experience (overall minimum 4 years) in ecommerce, logistics or hyperlocal-adjacent businesses

- Willing to travel to tier 2 cities and build them up and then recoup in home base before moving to the next city - ability to adapt personally and to local customer needs is critical to this role (Min 10-15days of travel in a month)

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

- Ability to hire and build a team at a rapid pace basis the needs of the organization
