Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced candidate to lead our consumer goods channel sales team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by identifying and acquiring new clients, as well as nurturing existing client relationships. Your primary focus will be on consultative selling, understanding client needs, and providing tailored solutions that address their specific supply chain challenges. This role requires strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

Business Development:

- Identify and prospect new clients within the target market segments, actively seeking opportunities to generate new business.

- Conduct market research to identify industry trends, potential clients, and competitive landscape.

- Build a strong pipeline of qualified leads and convert them into long-term clients.

Consultative Selling:

-Develop a deep understanding of clients' supply chain needs, challenges, and pain points through effective questioning and active listening.

- Conduct thorough needs analysis and present customized solutions that align with clients' objectives and address their specific requirements.

- Articulate the value proposition of our services and differentiate our offerings from competitors.

Team Leadership and Management:

- Lead and manage a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to maximize their performance and drive results.

- Foster a high-performance culture, setting clear expectations, and regularly evaluating individual and team performance.

- Conduct regular sales meetings, provide training, and share best practices to enhance the team's skills and knowledge.

- This will be an IC role. But, down the line, you might get a team handling role as well depending on the performance and how the business scales up. Should be flexible for both

Channel Development and Relationship Management:

- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and resource.

- Regularly engage with clients to understand their evolving needs and proactively identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.

- Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, implementation, and customer support, to ensure client satisfaction and successful service delivery.

- Conduct regular account reviews to assess client satisfaction, address concerns, and identify areas for improvement.

Sales Forecasting and Reporting:

- Analyze market data, industry trends, and sales performance metrics to develop accurate sales forecasts and reports.

- Regularly review and analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement, optimize sales processes, and increase efficiency.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).

- Proven track record of success in consultative sales / enterprise sales / B2B sales / solution sales within the supply chain industry / consulting / a related field.

- Min 2yrs relevant experience

- Strong business acumen and ability to understand clients' business objectives and challenges.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to clients.

- Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a focus on building mutually beneficial partnerships.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze sales data and market trends to drive decision-making.

- Ability to travel within the assigned region as needed.
