JDA WFM Technical Consultant / Senior Technical Consultant

We are recruitment consultants and looking for the position to be filled in for a company/organization which is an established name in software development services. This company is engaged in doing cutting edge enterprise level software development for various client across The United States and is based out of Atlanta region.

Job Description :

1. Ability to think outside of the box in terms of software solutions for complex problems.

2. Translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed design.

3. Analytical and problem-solving skills.

4. Technical expertise in required languages, operating systems, databases, development tools, networking, and/or software packages.

5. Participates in full life cycle projects to understand business requirements and then complete the design, development, testing, implementation and post production support.

6. Possess an excellent knowledge of software development (i.e., program design, flowcharting, coding, testing, debugging, etc.).

7. Participates in discussions concerning innovative, cost effective ways to implement new technologies to lead in the evaluation of new products, platforms, and technologies leveraging best practices based on industry standards and lessons learned while taking innovative.

8. Translate functional specifications into technical specifications to provide low-level details for development lifecycle.

9. Attends meetings that identify functional specifications for modifications, interfaces, reports and screens to ensure a solid design that meets business requirements.

10. Work with external consultant team through knowledge transfer to understand set up, configurations and design in order to provide ongoing enhancements and support.

11. Participates in system walk-throughs of technical and operational features, functions and attributes of a new or existing software package.

12. Ability to determine the feasibility of business requests, estimate timelines and resources needed, and assist project manager with project planning.

Technical Skills:

1. Ability to program in PL/SQL plus at least one other programming language such as Java, VB/VBScript, etc.

2. Knowledge of Oracle and/or other RDBMS.

3. Familiarity with various operating systems (Windows, Linux).

4. In depth knowledge of batch scripting (Korn shell, PowerShell, etc).
