1. JOB PURPOSE
To ensure compliances of all internal guidelines with respect to pre & post disbursements, to ensure disbursements/sell-downs are made in accordance with proper documentation. To lead a small team to carry out smooth functioning of the day to day operations related to Debt Capital Market's mid-office process.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES -
Sell down -
- To check that the executed documents - IM, term sheet, DTD are in line with the approved terms
- To liaison with counter party/ debenture trustee/exchanges for trade execution and settlement
- To ensure timely execution and reporting of deals on various available platforms like ICCL, NSCCL
- Responsible to monitor the pending documents & ensure proper credit compliance.
Pre Disbursement Conditions:
- To ensure disbursements are within the approved Limits for the Borrower / Borrower Group as per Internal & Regulatory Guidelines
- To ensure all pre disbursement conditions have been adhered to / have been deferred as per the approval matrix
- To ensure that the disbursements are made only on receipt of all pre-disbursement documents
Post Disbursement Conditions:
- To track post disbursement conditions and to check if the documentation is in line with the approved terms eg. Security documents etc.
- To follow up for pending compliances, if any and to get the same complied by the respective dealing officers.
- Timely intimate the Operations / Account team for updation of post disbursement conditions having revenue impact in books of A/cs, if any.
Limits Monitoring:
- To check and review available trading limits before and after each trade
- Maintain real time stock positions for each of the category of bonds / debentures
- To keep a continuous check on limits defined, and to take required approvals in case of any breaches
3. DIMENSIONS
Financial Dimensions
(These should be quantifiable numerical amounts like annual budgets, project costs, annual revenue, purchase value etc.).
- The role includes checking of all documents, disbursements and sell-down pertaining to DCM Portfolio
- Book size is < Rs. 5,000 Cr
- The team managing the Credit Compliance for DCM consists of 3 members responsible for entire DCM portfolio
Other Dimensions
(Indication of some of the significant volumes associated with the job like number in team/ staff handled etc).
- The role includes regular interaction with other teams and departments like Business, Legal, Operations, Accounts, Credit & Risk.
4. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE -
Educational Qualifications and Experience
Qualified Chartered Accountant / MBA Finance with good knowledge of DCM, Bond Mathematics, FIMMDA Valuations,
Exposure to ICDM, Cbrics, NDS-OM, Reuters
Understanding of Debt Capital Markets regulations and trade reporting / settlement processes
3-4 years experience in similar role.
Functional Skills -
- Should have previously worked with bank / financial institution/broking firms, preferably in Credit or Credit Mid- Office
- Understanding with regard to NBFC / Bank regulations.
- Good communication skills
- Good analytical capabilities
