Vice President - IBG BUC Head
Job Purpose : To drive Strategic initiatives with Business, Business analytics, Budgeting and Controls for Institutional Banking Group & Global Transaction Services.
Key Accountabilities :
1. Support all initiatives of DBS bank for Institutional Banking Group (Corporate & SME Banking) with specific focus on liability (deposits) and asset businesses (Loans, Trade)
2. Business Finance support to key business stakeholders in IBG including Trade and Treasury products through advanced business modelling, analytics including market / competitor's analysis
3. Help in preparing annual budget, forecast and month flash
4. Timely and accurate business performance reporting, challenge revenue and cost drivers, suggest remedial actions
5. Track and monitor Branch, Sector, Segment, Channel and Product wise performance
6. Drive productivity/change management initiatives
7. Leading a team of highly motivated individuals
Job Duties & responsibilities -
1. Support IBG Business with Finance processes and controls - Design, recommendation and approval processes.
2. Single point of contact for all operating issues related to IBG Finance
3. Evaluate all existing KPIs in Sales, Risks and Operations and recalibrate where necessary after benchmarking with Industry
4. Preparation and commentary on Month-end performance reporting and dashboards
5. Stakeholder Management - Make regular presentations to senior management of the Bank on PnL analysis and highlight risk and opportunities
6. Analytical review of all revenue streams and margin analysis by product and customer segment
7. Preparation of budgets Forecast and Flash for both IBG -with focus on the eLVB branches.
8. Support all ad-hoc business modelling and analytical review within IBG and GTS
9. Track, Monitor and suggest remedial action where necessary for Branch, Sector, customer Segment, Channel and Product wise performance for IBG and GTS
10. Coordinate all new Product launches within IBG and GTS
11. Participate in identified Initiatives within IBG and GTS - Strategic &/OR Tactical
12. Drive all change management initiative with IBG including process automation to drive capacity modelling
13. Deploy proper knowledge management process within IBG Finance by regular update of Departmental Operating Instructions and Create back up for all critical processes
14. Deploy, monitor and review compliance with Group (HO) Policies and Procedures within IBG and GTS
15. Contribute to Group (HO) deliverables related to IBG and GTS
16. Participate in all Finance-wide initiatives and activities
17. Team Management - review work done by the team, drive business reengineering, automation and standardization, guide and coach the team
Required Experience :
- Minimum 13 years Post Qualification Experience in commercial banks preferably in corporate banking space
- Should have managed the Financial Planning and Analysis of Institutional Banking in his previous role preferably including preparation and review of budgets
- Aware of RBI Regulations
- Conversant with Accounting Standards (Indian GAAP, IFRS)
- Exposure in Regulatory reporting, taxation, accounting and dealing with auditors will be added advantage
Education / Preferred Qualifications : CA

Technical Competencies :
- Hands on exposure in ERP (preferably PSGL) and BI tools (Preferably Hyperion)
- Hands on exposure in Institutional Banking product life cycle from origination, design, launching, set up, testing, monitoring
- Good exposure to operating and non-operating costs and allocation methodologies
- Exposure to hedging principles
- Very good communication and Influencing skills
- Ability to think out of the box
- High proficiency in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint in specific)
- Dashboarding experience
- Market Intelligence
Work Relationship :
- Close partnership with IBG unit, Operations, RMG, Business Analytics.
- Strong Working relationship with all units within Finance and All India Branch Network
- Close partnership with IBG and GTS stakeholders
